The zed mower: when survivors industrialize

Rick and Michonne did something amazing last episode. The steel wire between two cars was an awesome zed kill streak, even if it was so specialized it'd really only be useful on that particular road.

My point is, why hasn't anyone else industrialized clearing the dead? The tank would be more effective as a squisher than a shooting weapon. Hell, even a modified tractor could squish whole columns of walkers.

But why go to them, when you can bring them to you. We know Eugene understands basic chemistry, surely he knows how to make biodiesel. The zeds are attracted to noise, so a giant woodchippet running would attract zeds for miles. Surround the chipper and a chunk of land with a wall so you're safe inside but the mouth of the chipper is exposed. Even if a giant horde shows up, they'll slowly wait in line to crawl in to the wood chipper and get shredded.

Here's the kicker, it'd be relatively easy to use the shredded walker remains to make biodiesel, and the waste from that can be baked and ground to make excellent fertilizer. It's win/win/win, you clear walkers, make much needed fuel, and get valuable fertilizer for your crops.

When are groups going to start industrializing? There's so much potential.
