A few months ago on AskReddit the question was which TV shows are the most accurate to real life when it comes to whatever they are trying to show. Of course BCS is mentioned, because it generally portrays the rules and realities of the legal world very accurately.
However, a lawyer (or at least someone claiming to be one) brought up the climax of "Chicanery," in which Jimmy points out Huell to Chuck and says that Huell will testify that he planted the battery on him. According to the poster, this is a major no-no in any court--a lawyer can't just give his own testimony on behalf of a witness, and any prosecutor worth his salt would've pounced on that (particularly in a disciplinary hearing full of experienced lawyers).
I know that doing this particular scene accurately would have added 20 more minutes to the running time, and probably would have been a lot more boring too, so I can accept it as a bit of dramatic license that doesn't diminish the power of the episode in any way. But it is interesting to point out.
