So I went to see Albert Hammond Jr. He plays guitar for The Strokes, but I went to a free show in LA where he was introducing new songs from his next solo album coming in March. (Amazing show by the way!)
Anyways, The Strokes are one of my favorite bands, so my friends and I waited outside the small venue for a chance to get to meet Albert. Suddenly I see Austin Amelio coming out of the place. Right away he looked familiar. I couldn’t recognize him fast enough, he had a beanie. He was looking at me, like he knew that I knew who he was. When I realized it was Austin, I whispered to my friend “Oh shit dude that’s Dwight from the walking dead”. He must’ve heard me as he passed us, I saw him slightly turn his head, pretending like he wasn’t trying to hear.
By then it was already too late and I didn’t want to call his name or chase him down. Pretty funny experience. He’s got a good taste in music.
