[FUTURE SPOILERS] I think TWD 10x01 was honestly giving a nod to Fear.

The Russian satellite.

Though, clearly not the same as a cosmonaut on the ISS, I still think the satellite was a nice little nod to Fear season 3.

Clearly, it's a satellite and not manned by anyone. But the favt that is Russian and is from space, i think it's safe to assume that it is a nod (not directly related, but a nod/Easter egg) to Strand's Russian cosmonaut friend.

That, and the constant use of the word Fear. Though, this was probably moreso a coincidence - I think that it was Angela Kang's way of telling us she knows what it is.
