Plot Points
- We'll see Saul get his strip mall office
- Saul will help Ira set up Vamonos Pest. We saw Ira last season, and he was blatantly not in the pest control business yet. In Breaking Bad Saul says that he's been helping them for 5 years, which lines up almost exactly with where the show is right now. There was also a new ad on reddit last month for Vamonos Pest featuring Ira. Some people think it could be for the BB movie, and they could be right, but he could also be in both since they were shooting in the same location.
- Saul will get involved in shady dealings with his clients, such as money laundering, which we know he was big into by the time of Breaking Bad. I've long held the theory that Daniel Wormald is actually the Danny that owns the Lazer Base in BB. I believe that they were foreshadowing the Lazer Base coming up in season 4 when they included it as a newspaper ad. Gould and Gilligan have said tons of times that if they really like an actor they'll find ways to bring their character back, and they really like Mark Prosch, the guy who plays Daniel. Jimmy already called him Danny in season 2, so it seems like the set up is there.
- We'll see Nacho and Saul meet once again. They haven't seen each other since Episode 3 of Season 1, so I'd say they're long overdue for a reunion. The dangling plot thread that has been hanging over this entire series has been what exactly happens between Saul, Nacho and Lalo. Given that Jimmy has embraced the Saul persona, I don't think it'll be long now before they cross paths, especially since Nacho has been banned from the Vets office, he'll need someone else to turn to, like Saul. The fact that Lalo has been made a main cast member makes me feel this will play out in season 5.
- Saul will be involved in something that ends up killing a person. Gould has said in interviews that while Jimmy is Saul now, he's not the Saul we see in BB who's completely comfortable with facilitating a murder. Part of the plot of this season will be seeing Jimmy's morals degrade further to the point where he's comfortable with murder. (He'll still have some moral boundaries, as we see in Breaking Bad that he was extremely uncomfortable with Walt poisoning Brock)
- Jimmy and Kim will split up. Its been a long time coming, and they've had their ups and downs, but somethings gotta happen. Maybe Jimmy leaves Kim, or she leaves him, but she's really the last moral check in his life. Without her, hes free to go off the rails into Saul territory.
- More hair loss! This might seem like a weird point to bring up, but last season we got a short scene of Jimmy noticing that he was losing some strands of hair. This was foreshadowing his Saul appearance, as in Breaking Bad, Saul has a noticeable bald spot, a comb over, and hair plugs in the back of his hair. I foresee further hair loss this season that will also coincide with his moral decline.
- Krazy-8 might be more prominent. He's been in every season since 2, and again, the showrunners really like his actor. We've seen him go from a chatty guy who wears his work clothes to a quieter guy who wears casual clothes and seems more withdrawn. We know from Breaking Bad that Hank arrested Krazy-8 which is when he became a snitch, and its possible we may see that play out on the cartel side of the story. Maybe we see Saul get involved through Nacho, as we also know that Saul has represented Krazy-8s cousin at least twice.
- Saul meeting Lawson. In Breaking Bad Walt is introduced to Lawson (the gun guy) through Saul. We also see that Saul keeps a pistol in his desk, so I think we can assume he got it from Lawson. Lawson has already shown up in BCS, so maybe when Jimmy finds himself involved with more dangerous criminals this season (like Lalo) he goes to Lawson to buy the pistol.
- Mikes guys potentially being recruited. Mikes ten guys from breaking Bad might show up. In Breaking Bad he states that he vetted them personally, meaning he recruited them for Fring. So far we've seen that Fring only has a handful of guys in his operation, so I think he may have Mike recruit more as they expand into other states, etc.
- Anita will probably show up again. Mike left her and the therapy group in a pretty rough shape last season, but there was obviously some feelings between Mike and Anita, in fact Jonathan Banks himself has said he wanted to explore Mikes interest in her some more. She also happens to work for Marine Craddock Bank, which just so happens to be where Mike keeps the Hazard Pay for himself and his ten guys. Perhaps she's his "in" into the bank itself?
