In what world would people continue to serve Negan if it's quite obvious he will inevitably continue to kill people when displeased? (Spoiler sort of.. Season 7)

I'm finally attempting to finish The Walking Dead, stopped after a few episodes into season 7 because of how horrible the writing got (so many chances to kill Negan yet...).

Currently just finished episode 8. My question is... It's PRETTY clear that eventually, one day, Rick's group isn't going to find something interesting enough and as Negan already said... He will have to kill someone if that's the case. That threat alone should have been enough to snap them/Rick out of it.

Fear based tactics can only work for so long, when again, it's clear he will simply continue to kill people no matter what. In what fucking world do people go along with this for as long as they have been. The conclusion of episode 8 is obviously making it seem that they've finally had enough but it's already been too long for me. Too may opportunities, too much Negan talking incessantly I honestly can't believe I've made it this far. Like... With all the guns they had before they were taken away???? WHAT THE FUCK!?!?

I guess this is more of a rant but if someone has any goddamn explanation other than horrie writing let me know lol -_-

Dick Van Dyke show

I've only heard of Dick VD from Mary Poppins before. Recently I discovered this show and have been watching many episodes daily. It is so wonderful. The jokes feel as relevant today as it was back then. It's bingeable before that was even a thing. All of the actors are so funny and charming. In a sense, even though it was made in black-and-white, pre-civil, women's rights movements, heck even before man landed on the moon, it feels as if the actors are today alive in my mind, young and vibrant as they were in that show. Not to mention how wonderful it is to see cultural differences back then - husband and wife sleeping in separate beds, everyone still gathered around in front of the TV in the living room, and they still used rotary dial phones and typewriters! I have barely made it past season 1 and I'm going to take it slow.

THEORY on Jimmy and Kim's ultimate fate

I think that Kim will be disbarred for getting caught in a Jim and Kim scheme and she will go back to her small town on the the Kansas/Nebraska border where she'll manage the grocery store she spoke about once.

Jimmy now living as Gene, lives in Omaha, which is at the least, less than a 2 hour drive from the border.

Eventually, Jimmy will travel to that small town and reveal himself as still alive to her. He will apologize for dragging her down and she will forgive him. They will reconcile and at that moment, the "color" will come back into Jimmy's life. (The black and white of the flash-forwards is intentional to show that the "color has gone out of Jimmy's life.)

Does other paranormal lore exist in TWD universe?

I'm rewatching the show, currently on season 3, but I got intrigued the other day when Daryll talked about seeing a chupacabra. Is there any other paranormal media, real or fake that exists in the TWD. I know that the concept of Zombies didn't exist, but surely vampires, werewolves, ghosts, etc.. have some existence in the universe.

When Walt finds Jesse in that crackhouse after Jane dies, and Jesse is all zonked out on heroin. I cried when Jesse broke down in Walt’s arms, saying “I killed her” and “I loved her more than anything”. Just watched season 10 episode 9 and I’m sad (SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY)

The scene in the cave where carol falls and afterward is having trouble with claustrophobia. I think she is dealing with claustrophobia but I also think she got bit when the walkers grabbed her. After that she was asked if she was ok and she gave the “Im fine” line every person in a zombie universe gives when they’re bit. I hope to god she isn’t but no one else died in the cave and Jerry had his chance to die and they didn’t take it. Someone has to die from it I believe and I think it’s Carol and I’m fucking devastated at the thought of it. I love her man. :(

[SPOILERS] Game of Thrones is a tragedy, why are people so annoyed that is ended tragically?

Maybe people are just so used to your usual fair tale or superhero movie where your favorite hero or protagonist always wins and live happily ever after?

This show started with the most honorable man in Westeros betraying himself and losing his head for nothing. What made you think the main protagonists were going to get anything better

I understand arguments that the last two seasons should have had more time, or more detailed, complex storytelling; but debating that the actual events that unfolded were wrong because they made you sad or frustrated is ridiculous.

Stories can make you sad and frustrated at the end and still be good.

It's not about the destination, it's about the journey.

One reason Carol is getting hate

The connection between Henry and Carol wasn’t showcased well. We’re constantly being told Henry was her son but there was a shortage of moments in the actual show that “corroborate” that claim. A lot of the lack of empathy coming from the audience imo is because the writers failed in some ways to make their relationship feel like a “genuine”mother and son bond whilst also failing to make Henry a well thought-out character. Now Carol is on a revenge mission for a character that wasn’t “properly developed” nor well liked in the eyes of the audience. A lot more people would have sympathy if it was Judith in Henrys place and Michonne in Carols because alot more people would of actually cared if Judith were to have died. In order to have avoided this I feel as though Henry should’ve been written in a a more endearing light ; take characters like Jerry and Connie still relatively new but despite that they were able to become fan favorites. However since that wasn’t the case not enough of the audience is able to relate to Carols pain/ lust for revenge over his loss thus leading to (some)of the hate shes getting.

It seems like season 5 was an unmitigated disaster. This seems to be a consensus among most fans. Should it be retconned with a "do over?" For example, all the story lines from the end of season 4 seem to need about 3 more full seasons in order to reach a reasonably fulfilling conclusion.

(edit) while i’m here i also just want to rant about ep3. we spend this whole show being scared of the night king, anticipating the epic showdown between him and jon. but no, instead arya kills him for a cheap moment where all hope is lost. why the fuck did they even bother creating all the tension between the night king and jon if arya was just gonna kill him in 5 seconds. nothing would’ve been more badass than seeing the two of them have an epic fucking duel.

[Spoilers] When GOT was actually great

Tyrion Lannister: Do you remember cousin Orson? Orson Lannister?

Jaime Lannister: Of course. Wet nurse dropped him on his head, left him simple.

Tyrion Lannister: Simple. Used to sit all day in the garden, crushing beetles with a rock.

Tyrion and Jaime: [imitating Orson] Kun, kun, kun!

Tyrion Lannister: Nothing made him happier.

Jaime Lannister: Nothing made you happier. You'd think being tormented from birth would give you some affinity for the afflicted.

Tyrion Lannister: On the contrary. Laughing at another person's misery was the only thing that made me feel like everyone else.

Jaime Lannister: Joke wore thin, though.

Tyrion Lannister: For you. You drifted away.

Jaime Lannister: I had other interests.

Tyrion Lannister: Yes. Other interests. But I stayed with Orson.

Jaime Lannister: Why?

Tyrion Lannister: I was curious. Why was he smashing all those beetles? What did he get out of it? First thing I did was ask him. "Orson, why are you smashing all those beetles?" He gave me an answer. "Smash the beetles! Smash them! Kun kun kun!" I wasn't deterred. I was the smartest person I knew, certainly I had the wherewithal to unravel the mysteries that lay at the heart of a moron. So I went to Maester Valeric's library.

Jaime Lannister: Valeric. Tried to touch me once.

Tyrion Lannister: Turns out far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons. Doesn't seem right. In any case, I found nothing that illuminated the nature of Orson's affliction or the reason behind his relentless beetles slaughter. So I went back to the source. I may not have been able to speak with Orson, but I could observe him, watch him, the way men watch animals to come to a deeper understanding of their behavior. [Tyrion picks up a bug off the floor] And as I watched, I became more and more sure of it: there was something happening there. His face was like the page of a book written in a language I didn't understand, but he wasn't mindless, he had his reasons. And I became possessed with knowing what they were. I began spending inordinate amounts of time watching him. I would eat my lunch in the garden, chewing my mutton to the music of "kun kun kun". And when I wasn't watching him, I was thinking about him. Father droned on about the family legacy and I thought about Orson's beetles. I read the histories of Targaryen conquests. Did I hear dragon wings? No, I heard "kun kun kun". And I still couldn't figure out why he was doing it. And I had to know because it was horrible, that all these beetles would be dying for no reason.

Jaime Lannister: Every day around the world, men, women, and children are murdered by the score. Who gives a dusty f*** about a bunch of beetles?

Tyrion Lannister: I know, I know, but still it filled me with dread. Piles and piles of them, years and years of them. How many countless living, crawling things smashed, dried out, and returned to the dirt? In my dreams, I found myself standing on a beach made of beetle husks stretching as far as the eye can see. I woke up, crying, weeping for their shattered little bodies. I tried to stop Orson once.

Jaime Lannister: He was twice your size.

Tyrion Lannister: He just pushed me aside with a "kun", kept on smashing. Every day. Until that mule kicked him in the chest and killed him.

[Tyrion releases the bug and it crawls away]

So what do you think? Why did he do it? What's it all about?

This was the episode, Walter really decided to be the bad person he was all along. He was the wolf hiding in sheep's clothing. Here he has the chance to just take the money they were willing to give him. But his pride and his ego overtake him. That's why I give credit to Mike who noticed this trait.

[Spoilers] I just spent the last 3 weeks watching the entire series.

And idk how people got this mad over little things. The whole show was drama; almost entirely dialogue. The last two seasons picked up after a lot of that drama had subsided and we were finally getting to what we had been anticipating this whole time: a grand spectacle. The Defense of Winterfell from the white walkers was indeed grand and epic and mostly logically sound. So was the assault on King's Landing. It made perfect sense, having watched this character develop, that Danarys would have burned the whole city down. There are way too many naive complaints about little things that we had seen throughout the entire series; little things that were glazed over for the sake of the drama or setting up the next event, all without taking much logic out of it. The show was amazing. The ending was fit and just. This is grandest fiction I've ever witnessed and they did a fantastic job of finishing it up without source material. I can understand complaints about Star Wars or LOST or other big pieces of fiction. But I'm disappointed that fans were disappointed. It's like no one watched the show at all.

TSDF Q&A Episode 10.10 "Stalker"

TSDF Q&A Episode 10.10 "Stalker"

Thanks as always to our fabulous source for another fantastic Q&A!

1. Gamma offers the Alexandrians "a trade" what is it?

In order to believe she's telling them the whole truth and act on the information she has given, Gabriel plays the "servant of God who has taken so many confessions that he knows when someone's holding something back" card and asks Gamma to tell him the thing that she's holding back. She admits to killing her sister for Alpha, without Alpha even asking her to do it.

2. Does anyone at Alexandria trust Gamma? Who is the most vocal about not trusting her? Who insists she is placed in Negan's cell?

Gabriel does, especially after hearing about her sister. Rosita disagrees. It's Rosita who gives the actual order to have her placed in the cell, but I got the impression that this was the common decision anyway.

3. We know Beta is on a mission to retrieve Gamma - does he succeed? Does he get her back to Alpha?

Almost. Gamma volunteers to go with him to keep him from killing Rosita. As they are walking in the woods, the group led by Gabriel and Scott ambush them, Beta takes off running, Gabriel fires a shot at him but he misses, so Beta gets away. They bring Gamma back to Alexandria and then put her on a carriage to Hilltop.

4. Does Beta bring anyone with him to Alexandria? I'm not sure, but I don't think so. I think the idea was for him to go alone, kill a bunch of people, wait for them to turn and have them act as a distraction while he goes to retrieve Gamma.

5. Who does Beta kill in Alexandria? Do we see Laura die by Beta's hand?

I can specifically mention Alfred's death, the guy that was with Margo and Gage when they had ambushed Lydia before. There are also a few people Beta killed who turn, and some are shown pretty clearly, but I'm not sure exactly who they are. We do see him killing Laura, he slams her against the bars inside the cell after she comes to Gamma's rescue. Gamma manages to get away because of her.

6. Where do Judith and RJ run to for safety? Where's Barbara?

We don't see where they go, we just see them getting out of the room they were in with Gamma. I didn't see Barbara.

7. Where do Rosita and Beta fight? Is Coco ever in danger?

In the house above the cell, I think it's Michonne's. After Judith and RJ get away, Beta grabs Gamma by the ankle. Rosita distracts him, they fight, but she's overpowered. Right when he's about to deliver the fatal blow, Gamma stops him and lures him away, saying that it's her that Alpha wants. Coco is okay throughout.

8. Where did Negan get his Whisperer mask from?

Negan's not in this episode.

9. Can you tell us about the fight between Alpha and Daryl?

I think the most prominent detail here is that Alpha slashes Daryl in the face, near the eye, which causes a huge disadvantage for him because he has blood in his eyes -we see his blurred, bloody point of view more than once- and he has a hard time locating and fighting off the walkers around him. It starts with him pinning her down, asking "where are they", and then come the cutting and the stabbing in the leg. But they are both badly wounded. She then follows him to what looks like a gas station, bangs her shotgun against a pipe to attract walkers, and at some point, Daryl has no choice but to pull the knife out of his leg which causes a huge spraying of blood. Since they are both weak and can barely walk, they can't get out, and Daryl tells Alpha that she lost Lydia because she didn't love her. Alpha is clearly offended by this remark, she tries to get up and walk towards him, but she falls, and that's when Lydia arrives. It's also worth noting that their encounter starts near a different exit where Alpha is busy luring the horde out of the cave. So there really is at least one other exit.

10. Does Lydia talk to Daryl when he regains consciousness? What does she say?

Daryl asks her if she killed Alpha, she asks whether he could have if it were his father instead.

11. What else happens with Lydia?

Alpha asks Lydia to kill her. She says that she's ready and that "they" are waiting for Lydia to lead them. Lydia refuses, she says that she's not here for them and she's not here for her. She tells her that "they are human, not perfect, just human", that that's all she ever wanted to be and that's what Alpha never gave her.

12. Does Daryl make it home by the end of the episode?

We don't see it.

13. How’s Doggo?

Once again, he's not in this episode.

14. Is there anything else interesting that happens?

My favorite scene in the whole episode was Judith shooting Beta in the chest through the closed door of her and RJ's bedroom. But it turns out the SOB had a breast plate on all along. There are a bunch of things that come to mind, but I've had a hard time fitting most of it into the questions, so I'll try to make a quick list in no particular order:

- The scene with a Whisperer attacking Coco was actually Rosita having a nightmare.

- She and Gabriel talk about her possibly freezing in combat again and she tells him about having dreams where the Whisperers kill her.

- Gabriel goes on a rant about how the Whisperers are cowards, and that they should keep them alive, start pulling out teeth and taking fingers to scare them and get them to drop the act, which is what it's all about.

- They get a call from an Echo Post about an incoming herd. This is why Scott, Gabriel, and a group of people go outside, but it turns out it was a trap to have less people back in Alexandria for Beta's infiltration. The call was forced, and the people at Echo Post were unfortunately killed.

- Aaron returns to Alexandria and tells Gabriel and Scott that "not everyone got out".

- Beta enters Alexandria through Cheryl's grave. This leads Gabe and Aaron to conclude that Dante made this happen since he was the one who buried her.

- Judith talks to Gamma the same way she used to talk to Negan, from the stairs over the barred window. She asks her her name, and Gamma talks a bit about her and her sister making wrong decisions, needing someone to make them for them, and meeting Alpha. Judith tells her that if they had met her mom or dad first, she wouldn't be in there, and that she doesn't seem like a monster to her. Judith also has Gamma come and hide inside the house after Laura helps her get out of the cell.

- When Lydia calls Alpha "mama", even in her wounded state, she doesn't neglect to tell Lydia not to call her that and that she knows better.

- After everything is over, Rosita also heads for Hilltop to see the doctor there, leaving Coco behind with Gabriel because it's safer. Once in the carriage, she introduces herself to Gamma and they shake hands.

- When Alpha wakes up, the knife she had stabbed Daryl with is pinned on a table near a carved message that says "your way is not the only way".

15. How does the episode end?

Alpha wakes up -the next morning I guess- after her encounter with Lydia, with Whisperers by her side. She goes on a rant about how she's not weak anymore, how she's stronger than ever, how the horde "will butcher them and screams will be songs to her", and she recites the "we are free" thing.

Better Call Saul Season 6 Theory

Hello saul goodmanners of reddit I have a theory about season 6. It's been foreshadowed plenty of times throughout the series with ball-related imagery. I think saul goodman will transform into baul goodman and will become a giant ball and will roll around everywhere. Probably running over kim which ends their relationship because she is dead.

That Mike scene in ‘50% Off’ was hard to watch.

The guilt that he feels over Werner's death is affecting him so much that he's lashing out at those closest to him. You could really feel the rising tension of that scene. It was reminiscent of ‘Talk’ in that you could see him grow gradually, closer and closer to just blowing up except this was at one of the very few people he's close with. The worst part, and one of the biggest reasons he feels such anguish, is that in his eyes he's not much better than the men who killed Matty.

Matty was doing something illegal. He was a dirty cop, albeit extremely reluctantly which makes his actions much more justifiable but it was still illegal. Unfortunately, the people he was working with didn't trust him and so they killed him to make sure he didn't reveal anything. Before Werner, Mike could loathe those two police officers as he was above such an act. But then Werner came along, also technically doing something illegal but not illegal enough to be considered “in the game”. It was a job which would give him enough money so that he could go home and live comfortably with his wife. Ultimately, the people he was working with didn't trust him either and Mike had to kill him to protect his and Gus's interests.

That's what made that scene so hard to watch for me. Kaylee wasn't doing anything wrong but her questions were clearly angering Mike and so the reaction was unsettlingly inevitable. Once she mentioned the “bad men” who killed Matty, he was reminded that, in a sense, he's not that much better than them. What they were to him, he would be to Mrs. Ziegler (if she knew what actually happened).

Season 4 Stadium Scenes

So I'm watching season 4 for the first time, and these stadium zombie attack scenes seem really idiotic to me. Initially, Nick and Alicia just sit idling as they watch the trucks drive up and unload hordes of zombies, and continue to sit there as they're surrounded by walkers. Then, when the rest of the stadium inhabitants decide to evacuate, they drive out the gates and into the middle of the horde of zombies.

Why? Why wouldn't A) Nick and Alicia do something besides sit there and let themselves get surrounded, knowing that they'd either end up trapped by walkers or have Madison and associates attempt to save them by leaving the stadium; and B) why would the evacuees either stay in the stadium, or maybe, I don't know, make a hard left or hard right out of the gate and drive along the fence line, away from the zombies?

Seems like a whole lot of shitty writing here.

How I imagine Jesse now

New to this sub so I’m sorry if versions of this have already been posted, but I just rewatched the series and then finally watched El Camino (wanted to do the whole thing justice on a rewatch). I will never be convinced this is not the greatest show/universe of all time.

One aspect of Jesse’s life we see throughout is his compassion: most notably for children, but also for animals. There are hardly any animals in the show, but very early he tries to greet one of Crazy 8’s dogs. In BB and also in El Camino, he thoughtfully admires a beetle. He has an appreciation for an insect others might deem ordinary, bothersome, or disgusting (and I think Skinny steps on the beetle in the show, which bothers Jesse a bit).

Because he is suffering from PTSD as a result of his enslavement, all he has witnessed and done—and because he is compassionate towards others, including animals, in a paternal way, I imagine Jesse in Alaska with a dog. He would have someone to care for who would also care for him as he heals through his trauma in a beautiful, rugged place. Seeing how he woke up in a panic that first day of freedom—I would hope a dog might assuage some of that if he were to happen in Alaska. Very little time has actually passed when he lands up there.

It brings me peace to picture this life for Jesse, that’s how I imagine him!

Finally got my wife to watch, she just made this observation

After years of talking up the show, and years of refusal, I've agreed to watch Walking Dead if she watches BB.

So now we're in S3E3 of Breaking Bad, Skyler has just come home for dinner, and my wife points out "They're eating dinner super late if Aqua Teen Hunger Force is on."

Just finished season 3 of Breaking Bad

This show is amazing, and this episode was drawn out so well. Full measure has to be my favorite episode so far. The ending scene with the gun to the camera gave me chills. I’m just gonna be depressed when I can’t get anymore of this amazing show :(

[no spoilers] just finished A Storm of Swords!

HOLY SHIT! The last like 400 pages was just a wild ride I could not predict. I had a really hard time getting into the first book because I couldn’t keep characters straight (SO many names haha), but now I find myself curled up with this book every waking moment (ugh winter is hard). It’s nice to feel truly excited or shocked or find myself giggling as I moved through the last few hundred pages. Hopefully A Feast of Crows is just as good. Just wanted to say hi to this community & share my new found excitement for this series! I hadn’t watched the show (I am now though), so this was a good winter choice for me - so glad I took my friend’s recommendation.

Jaqen H'gar.. A girl gives a man his own name the Gods must not be mocked. So I just watched this clip quick and noticed he looks pissed about that So my question is Jaqen a person , idea or a God ? That first Jaqen "J1" makes that statement and after helping changes his face and leaves. "J2" There is no one here by that name, later trys to make her no one " presumably" then later kills himself (without hesitation) after she fails, then the Waif takes the form of J3 and makes a comment about not paying attention and that was no one or somewhere along those lines. So who or what is Jaqen H'gar the Faceless Man from the House of Black and White?

[SPOILERS] Why was the man of many faces going to the Night’s Watch

I don’t get why the man of many faces was on the road to the Nights Watch. I’ve seen people say Varys is a Targaryen loyalist and wanted to kill Ned and Jon to give Viserys the throne. But I don’t know about that because if he was a Targaryen loyalist why would he actually go through with trying to poison Danny when Robert Baratheon wanted her dead.

Skylar was not my fave character, BUT...

Maybe she wasn’t particularly bright and funny, but her character was a good soul and I think she did the best she could in the circumstances she faced.

So many people hate her character...but to me, she stood by Walt while her world fell apart and her personal morales and ethics were stomped on.

Not my favorite character (love Mike, Hank, and Saul) and she was less than dynamic , but still don’t know why she is so hated.

Season 10 of TWD has been slow and mediocre. I am no longer interested in it and I know there are many who feel similar. If people are quitting the main show, surely Fear will also not do to well either since it’s even worse.

Where you can watch Season 5 Mega-Thread

Since this is being asked a lot, here is a snippet from our FAQ on how to watch online.

If you have other LEGAL ways to watch online, comment below and I'll add it to the list.

If you have any other questions about watching online, ask below for others to answer.

WAYS TO WATCH ONLINE

AMC TV - the official network site hosts new episodes the night after they air. AMC is carried by most major US cable/satellite providers. amctv.com is also an option, but it requires a cable provider login to access new episodes.

Netflix - new episodes are available to viewers outside of the US and Canada via subscription the day after they air on AMC. In the US and Canada, Netflix will air new episodes after the entire season has concluded airing on AMC.

Apple TV - new episodes are available for purchase the day after the new episode has aired. If you purchase the season pass, you can also get the Inside Better Call Saul behind the scenes featurettes.

Amazon Instant Video - new episodes are available for purchase the day after the new episode has aired. You can also get access to behind the scene content if you purchase the season pass.

Google Play - new episodes are available for purchase for prices comparable to both iTunes and Amazon.

Stan - Australians can access the show the same day it airs in the US via this subscription service.

Sling TV - for a subscription fee you can watch AMC and other channels online and on many devices. They offer a 7 day free trial.

VUDU - another subscription service that offers movies and TV shows that can be watched online or on many devices.

DirecTV Now Yet another online streaming service comparable to a standard cable setup.

This subreddit does not promote online piracy, and any links to illegal torrents or unauthorized streaming sites or requests for the same will be removed. Posting such content can result in a ban, so please do not share this information in the comments sections, either.

The opening of Winner is so heartbreaking.

Seeing not only one of the last moments that Chuck and Jimmy were legitimately on good terms, but also Chuck not inflicted by his mental illness is so sad to see knowing how things end up. Say what you want about Chuck, (He’s done a lot of wrong but then again no character is morally perfect in this show) but he didn’t deserve the fate he got. Every time I see Chuck singing I almost shed a tear! Jimmy cheering his brother on in the background was nice too.

Episode 10x09-10x16 Titles and thoughts based on trailers/teasers

As we all know, 10B starts in about 2 days from now (depends on where you live tho). So today in my "Semi Ted-Talk" I'm gonna share my thoughts and guesses based on the titles/synopsis/trailers/teasers and the comic version of the current story.

I don't know if there are even future spoilers out there but I haven't used them so no worries :D

10x09 - Squeeze : Knowing they are stuck in a cave, my guess is that either someone dies or gets a really bad injury. I think the title means they have to "squeeze" themselves out of this situation with them being stuck and all, and after hyping it up I don't think they will all get home safely. Who dies/gets injured you may think? Well either Magna or Kelly is my guess. We know Kelly doesn't die because she is in the fight at the hilltop but Magna hasn't been show that much at all besides the cave scenes.

10x10 - Stalker : I think this is where the scenes from Alexandria at night come from. Why? Because I don't think they'd tease any big moments from episode 14-16 in a trailer right now. As for what happens with the hand out of the grave? I don't know how or why this might be possible but I think the grave is how Beta gets inside Alexandria and gets inside one of the houses, with there being a body behind him I think he killed that person. My guess is that he is there either to kill Daryl for escaping out of the cave or Gamma if she is still at Alexandria at that point. As for the scene with Rosita and the whisperer holding a knife to Coco, Either someone saves the day or she is seeing some weird stuff.

10x11 - Morning Star : I mean this is hyped up so much in the trailer that there can't be any other explanation for it. This is the fight at the hilltop, it must be. 99/100 teasers on instagram and such show Daryl sweeping around a Morning Star so why wouldn't it be? As for deaths I think Luke or Kelly might die. The new group (Kelly, Connie, Magna, Luke, Yumiko) hasn't run into any losses yet and it's taking me a bit too long tbf, would make for a lot of character progression if something were to happen to one of them. What's up with the flaming arrows you might say? I think they're burning the place down, not aiming to kill them but trying to get them away from the hilltop.

10x12 - What We Become : This is teased to be Michonne's last episode. I mean they got to make it epic in some way shape or form, teasing her walking with 2 zombies on chains like season 3 I trust they will. What would be up with the teasers showing her bashing someone with the bat? Your guess is as good as mine. I think they will throw some Rick Grimes teaser in because there has to be a very good reason for her not to return to Judith and RJ.

10x13 - Walk With Us : I think this episode focusses more on the whisperers and Negans bond with Alpha for sure. This episode might give us a bit more insight on Negans plans being with the whisperers and his feelings and maybe even some hints at his backstory, but that might just be me.

10x14 - Look at the Flowers : Ah... Well I think most of us know what this means. My plot twist senses are already tingling. For the longest time I thought that Carol had released Negan with the purpose to get him to kill Alpha. As Bored as tomato picking Negan was, he might've said yes. If that is the case, this will likely be a callback to Carol killing Lizzie, with Negan killing Alpha the same way as she did to Lizzie. This would be both an awesome plot twist and an amazing callback.

10x15 - The Tower : If Alpha eventually goes missing the whisperers will for sure go looking for her. If comic readers see this title I think they think what I think. And if they are thinking what I am thinking than Gabriel will be this seasons "big episode 15 death" (same with the pikes, Simon, I think Denise, and some others). I mean, boy he did fall from that tower and Beta really did some nasty stuff there. I'm curious to see how that plays of in the show IF they decide to go that way.

10x16 - A Certain Doom : What does a certain doom make you think of? I know.. a massive herd of walkers being directed into the ASZ. When Beta finds out about Alpha's death he will for sure unleash that horde and try to overrun the ASZ. I think Beta will survive this season and play an on and off role in season 11 until his eventual demise, but there has to be someone that has to go to make this finale a banger am I right? Who would that be you might say? I think either Rosita, Aaron or Negan would cause a massive impact on the story. Knowing that both Aaron and Negan have a lot of potential as characters (Negan as the charismatic man he is and Aaron as daddy A), Rosita her story is kind of full circle I think at this point. I mean she has a kid, a loving partner (that might be the second in this quadrangle to go), but what else does she need? She is still a badass fighter don't get me wrong but I think it's time for her to go.

A few things haven't been adressed: The radio story with Eugene, the Ezekiel, yumiko and eugene on horses part and Gabe with the shotgun. I don't know whatever may happen with these storylines, if you have any ideas feel free to share them.

Note: These are my thoughts and ideas on what might happen, your view might be completely different, that's cool. Let me know your views and ideas, I love speculating on these things!

So. As the title says. I've waited for the series to end so I can watch it and I've just finished season 3.

Please let me rant about this. This contains spoilers for those who haven't seen the first three seasons yet (tho I won't be surprised if I'm the only one this late to the most popular series ever).

I know this is going to sound very stereotypical and the thing you've already heard a million times, but when I watch the show, I cannot watch it with "Oh it's just a show" mindset. It's very real to me. I cannot distance myself emotionally from it. It is not a surprise, since with every book I read or every film/show I watch, it becomes one of my fictional lives I actually live and it is all real to me. Now, I really grew to love house Stark and feel like I belong there, like it's my family. I loved them and I proudly say "The Winter is coming" (please don't hate me for being a fan in season 3 I know I have 5 more season to go). I admired Ned and Cat. Sansa is my favourite character as she has so much potential that I see in her yet she must work really hard to reach it. I love Bran, Jon, Arya... I fell in love with Robb and his wife, I fell in love with their love (if that makes sense) and I was so happy and fuzzy inside when I watched them being so happy. His face when she told him she is pregnant made me cry because I will NEVER see that irl. Their flirty conversations and their decision to name the baby Eddard if it's a boy made me have so much hope, so much love. Cat even loved them as couple in the end even tho she was against the wedding.

As I said in the beginning, I've just finished season 3 and there is NO way to express how I feel right now. I'm absolutely crushed. I can't go into details, it was too traumatizing. I cried so much I had to get up and drink water, try to breathe and stop shaking. I'm still in shock, I am still crying. Please help me. I was not ready for this.

In season 4 episode 2, Walt joins Mike at a bar and orders himself a bourbon with no ice, but in season 5 episode 8, Hank pours Walt a bourbon and remarks "on the rocks right?"

This further shows the duality of Walt's character, and how he want to appear stronger with Mike, and more watered down with Hank. (Hank takes his drink straight / no ice).

Bonus: During the season 5 episode 8 scene, Holly is wearing purple.

Biggest concept I’ve missed until this rewatch

Watching it another time around.

Season 5 Episode 10, when Walt is laying on the bathroom floor, he tells Skyler that, “nobody talked, it was me,”

And he realized that he killed all those witnesses in jail for no reason because Hank figured it out on his own. And he has almost no visible reaction.

Chilling.

[NO SPOILERS] Should I watch?

I'm a huge fan of the books and have only seen rhe first episode of the show, should I watch it? I've heard the show takes a dive in quality once they run out of source material but am still interested in the show. I guess Im mainly asking is it worth the quite hefty cost to watch the show or should I just stick to the books?

Why has killing walkers in the show become a chore

Yes I know they have to worry about the walkers being whispers but why has killing walkers in the show become such a chore? When was the last time you saw a main character been eaten alive by a walker, and they're using walkers to fight each other! The show is literally called The Walking dead, and walkers have just became minor threats, they need to be more life threatening in the show. When the main characters come across a big horde of walkers they always get out alive, and yes I know some of the characters know how to survive I just want to see more walkers eating people.

Here’s a fan story I made

So Carl was raped in season 4, but it didn’t show how he felt, like at all. This story takes place in their first night at Alexandria.

Rick bolted to the door as soon as he heard the screams. He threw open his son's door to find..he wasn't in danger. He was curled up, sobbing.

"Carl?" He asked in a gentle voice, "You alright buddy?" Carl's head shot up, quickly wiping his tears away. "Yes, I-Just.."

Rick sat on the side of his son's cot and placed a hand on his leg. "What's wrong?" Carl shook his head, more tears fell. "Carl.. You can tell me.."

Carl sniffled, "I had a nightmare, I know, it's childish. I'm sorry!" Rick jumped in, "Sorry? Why?" His voice quiet.

"You told me, "I'm a man..and no more kid stuff!" Rick sighed sadly, "I'm not mad, you couldn't help it. A nightmare isn't childish, I had nightmares after your mom died."

Carl looked up at him, "but you didn't act like me! You didn't scream and cry!" "Son, you're 13. It's Okay to cry! It's okay for anyone to cry! I'm not mad."

Rick opened his arms, "c'mere" Carl crawled into his father's arms the familiar smell of strength, home, and safety cleared the thick air.

Sighing, Rick flopped around the mop of hair his kid so proudly bore. "I love you"  Nuzzling his Dad's chest, he pulled him tighter. "I love you too"

"You wanna talk about it?" He felt Carl nod. "It was about the man on the road," Carl's voice started to get shaky, "But, you weren't there, and it felt like it went on forever!"

Rick's chest tightened with emotions he thought he lost long ago. "I'm so sorry I couldn't get to you on time! I'm sorry I couldn't get to you, buddy! I'm sorry!" Tears rolling down his cheeks, he rocked the last of his family to sleep.

After a few minutes, he felt Carl go limp, setting the boy down as he covered him up. It's been so long since Rick saw him so calm, and kissing his head as he used to. "I love you."

Turning to leave, the smallest whisper catches Rick's attention. "Dad?" Rick turned around, "mh?" "Can you stay in here tonight?" Rick nodded and walked towards the cot.

He climbed under the covers and pulled Carl next to him. "I'm here...I love you."

The Expanse features some of the most realistic space battles I've seen - crews are weightless and experience g-forces when the ship moves. Ships use conventional weapons like autocannons. Excessive g-forces are deadly.

[Generic fluff] I've only watched up to episode 13 of season 2 (not even all the way through) and the most shocking part of anything I've seen is when he says "which one" while under sedation.

Idk why but murder and drugs seem pretty basic compared to his wife finding his second phone. My blood literally ran cold when he said it.

[Spoilers]Daenerys and The Bells

I know I'm late to the party on this topic, but I've had some time to digest Daenerys's "Mad Queen" moment in The Bells and why it doesn't really work. There's basically three big issues with it. Actually #1 is the main issue, and #2 and #3 just amplify it.

1) The lack of a trigger.

A good plot twist needs to have motivation and logic behind it. When a character suddenly does something "because they're crazy now," that isn't a satisfying motivation. When Daenerys hears the bells ringing and has basically won the battle, there is nothing in that moment to trigger her into sudden genocide.

Now in retrospect, we can point to some of the recent traumas she just went through as events that likely caused her madness (losing Jorah, watching Missandei be murdered in front of her, learning about Jon's parentage and it making her paranoid, finding out Varys was betraying her and having to execute him). Yes, all of those things are traumatic, but the story doesn't pick one. If immediately after seeing Missandei be murdered, Daenerys had a knee-jerk reaction and went on a rampage, this would have felt more like a trigger, as the thing that pushed her over the edge.

What we get instead is Daenerys suddenly deciding to be genocidal without a clear reason or motivation, other than when the plot needed it to happen. And again, no logic behind it. If she had just killed Jon and ended his claim to the throne altogether, there would have been logic there. If she had just gone after Cersei directly, there would have been logic. But why go out of your way to slaughter as many innocent people as possible, and give Cersei more time to escape?

You might say "We all do irrational things some times or fly off the handle."

Yes, I've done irrational things. I've sometimes done outright stupid things with no logic behind them. But that doesn't lead to good storytelling.

You might also say "Her going crazy was foreshadowed earlier. Just look at such-and-such scenes...."

If you have to explain how something was foreshadowed, then it wasn't foreshadowed.

2) Emphasis on shock value.

The show runners realized "Audiences always like it when we have surprise massacres. The Red Wedding was popular, Cersei blowing up the sept of Bailor was popular. Let's really outdo ourselves and go out with the worst genocide of all!"

But audiences can tell when something feels hollow. For all the psychotic and sadistic things that Ramsay Bolton ever did, there was always logic behind them. As much of an atrocity as Shireen's death was, we still understood Stannis's motivation and what led him to that moment. What Daenerys does in this scene is the single worst atrocity ever committed in the entire series, and it feels like a scene engineered to just be shocking and nothing more.

The entire scene feels like it was intended to satisfy the audiences' bloodlust rather than because of genuine story reasons.

3) It goes on for too darn long.

I think if this genocide had just been one efficient scene, audiences might have been more accepting of it.

But instead, the destruction of King's Landing ends up lasting the entire second half of the episode. You have something close to 35 minutes' worth of just destruction and people suffering on the ground level. The sequence is hitting you over the head with the feeling "This worse than every single battle we've ever shown on the series before. This is complete Hell on Earth." It's so long and overbearing that almost everyone walks away from that episode feeling exhausted. Even if there were moments in the chaos that they liked, the entire thing comes off feeling overwhelming and gratuitous.

Overall, if you're going to have a big twist near the end of an epic story, if it doesn't have proper motivation behind it, it can ruin the entire saga.

Tobias’ future

In my personal opinion, I think it would be really cool for Tobias to come back, but not on MoMo. They should bring him to the main show. He was such a unique character who was very interesting. Also, there is no way he died back in season 1, he’s too smart for that, and it would be so easy to take him to the main show.

[SPOILERS]I just re-edited the entire GOT show to be loyal to the chronology of the books as it's own cinematic universe. Watch the first installment here.

[SPOILERS]I've been working on recutting the Game of Thrones series into a cinematic series following only certain characters at once. For example, once there was a novella published in August 1996 called Blood of the Dragon, featuring Dany's chapters for Book 1 isolated.

I cut these scenes together into an hour and a half feature film as a first installment, the "Iron Man" to this Song of Ice and Fire Cinematic Universe. I then follow up with a Westerosi Cut of Book 1 material, following Bran, Catelyn, Eddard, and the majority of the characters besides Jon's second half of the book. Instead, I put Jon in his own isolated film, covering his book 1 and 2 chapters. I cut all of the Westeros material from Clash of Kings into its own sequel and cut all of Dany's chapters from seasons 2 and 3 into their own isolated sequel as well called Path of the Dragon. I cut Westerosi Book 3 as well.

I have all of these episodes completed, but I wanted to share the first one with you here today. As I release them, I'd be happy to accept feedback. I'll make sure to re-edit them until they're right (or until I make every fan happy).

Here is Blood of The Dragon.
