Okay so in the first season there’s the episode where Jimmy fakes the billboard accident to get new clients.
In that episode, Kim leaves a message for Jimmy on the phone that goes something like ”Hey I was wondering if you wanted to catch a movie later. We could watch The Thing and see some Kurt Russel action.” Now for those who don’t know, The Thing is an awesome movie about a creature that kills people and imitates them. Becoming an exact replica of the person they assimilated.
For a little while I was struggling to see if there was any reason for this beyond Vince or whoever just probably being a fan of the movie. But then it hit me. They put that reference to the movie in because in that episode Jimmy copies Howard and HHM.
