This is more about the book series: I was just curious if Ned and Catelyn Stark were in attendance at the royal wedding of Cersei and Robert, at least a decade prior to the events of the series? I’ve read the series at least three times and I feel like I haven’t been able to get this answer. The reason I ask is that I’m trying to understand Catelyn and Cersei’s seemingly acrimonious relationship and I’ve always been curious about their upbringing, how close in age they were to each other, and if they were aware of each other growing up as noble ladies of neighboring prominent houses. It seems like there’s some deep-seated hatred there. I’m sure a young Cersei could have cared less about Catelyn at Riverrun, but I have always wondered about Catelyn’s view of Cersei growing up, and how present she was at Cersei’s major moments leading up to the events of AGOT, especially the wedding, as that would have been a critical moment in Catelyn’s life. Any answers or thoughts to any of this would be great, because the relationship between these two mothers is very underdeveloped but ripe with intrigue, at least to me. Also, any tidbits about the wedding details would be great!
