[MAIN SPOILERS] Anyone noticed what Jon's first ever kill was, both in the show and books?

Season 1 ep 2, Jamie mocked Jon for not having "swung his sword at someone" and " cut a man"..... Few episodes later Jon swings his sword at 'someone' for the first time and kills a 'Wight', something Jamie has yet to do. Ironic.

It's pretty significant that Jon's 'first kill' is a Wight though. Definitely foreshadowing how important Jon will be in the 'great war' against the dead.
