I don't visit this board a lot but it seems to me that people have come to respect Hamlin, if that's so, then I would like to remind you that Hamlin is as determined and vicious as Chuck but without the "vanguard of civility" posturing.
In S2E7(Inflatable) Kim tells Hamlin that she is going into private practice and (this is the important part) she tells him that she will be going solo, only sharing expenses with Jimmy. The last thing he says to her is that he envies her before showing a glimmer of regret.
In S2E8(Fifi) When Hamlin comes to Chuck's to tell him about Mesa Verde he omits the fact that Kim was going solo when Chuck expresses his belief that she and Jimmy had become partners.
If this has come up already, then my fault for not checking, but the fact that this was the catalyst for the court room debacle; Hamlin's own play of Chuck against Jimmy all to take Mesa Verde back from Kim is incredible, especially considering in the beginning of the season with the Davis & Main partners putting into perspective how insignificant Sandpiper, a RICO case was to their firm. This, I believe, shows clear manipulation and malice on Hamlin's part that I truly hope plays out later in the season with more reveals of his character.
