After S07E02, I've seen some people say they can almost forget that Randyll Tarly's a monster because he seemed pretty cool. But let's not forget that what Sam said about his father forcing him to take the black in Season 1: "On the morning of my 18th nameday, my father came to me. "You're almost a man now," he said, "but you're not worthy of my land and title. Tomorrow, you're going to take the black, forsake all claim to your inheritance and start north. If you do not," he said, "then we'll have a hunt and somewhere in these woods your horse will stumble and you'll be thrown from your saddle to die. Or so I'll tell your mother. Nothing would please me more." He threatened to murder Sam just because he was overweight, loved to read, and didn't conform to the traditional standards of masculinity. And let's not forget how he treated Sam and Gilly when they came back last season. He's a degenerate and horrid human being.
