I know there are a lot of people who couldn't stand Rosita during that season. Yeah, she was not over the traumatic encounter with Negan after murdering Glenn and Abraham, but she kept acting like she didn't care if she lived or died and was single minded in making sure she herself killed Negan.
The more I think about it, Abraham's death affected her so much I'm sure and I think what really bothers her the most was that she never got at least be on good terms with him and she didn't get to say goodbye. I think it's implied too that he was the first man she ever fell in love with.
In a way, I think she was somewhat suicidal, she wanted to die after losing Abraham but wants to make damn sure the man who took his life dies with her. Even when Sasha made it clear that they need to shoot him from a distance, she still argued that they needed to be closer to him even though it was obviously a stupid plan.
Is there anyone else who was trying to understand Rosita? I really want to like her and think she could be a great character, but she's not making it easy for me. If she keeps this behavior and attitude up, I don't see how Rick could have her continue to be apart of the war against the Saviors if she's going to continue being a liability that will cause their plans to backfire.
