I've been thinking about the time-skip shown at the end of the trailer for Season 8. We all know All Out War in the comics is jam-packed with action but most of us feel like there's not enough content to stretch throughout a whole season. And a lot of people don't feel like they'll do the time-skip mid-season as that'll be too jarring.
What if there are small flash-forwards (similar to LOST's Season 4 - except we know they are flash-forwards) sprinkled throughout Season 8? If executed well, that could be kinda cool.
I think it was Kirkman/Gimple who said they'd like to cover ground on what happened between the end of All Out War and A New Beginning in the comics. They could do this and still start Season 9 at a New Beginning.
What do you all think the scene at the end means?
