Just created this Account to let of some steam. I have to say that ver the past few seasons madisons character was one of the most annoying in any TV show I've ever seen. I don't really get why she is still on the show. Hypocritical beyond measure (like demanding everything from her husband to help her drug addict son, yet completely ignoring his own problems after his son lost his mom) Getting shelter and food from the old Otto, just to backstab him, to cooperate with the same people who shot her husband (he was gonna die anyway, but still) and had no right whatsoever to claim the farm. Everything stupid and selfish she does, is supposedly for her beloved children, whom she lets just leave in to a apocalyptic world right at the first chance.
She is neither good nor bad, but still wants to be the highest moral instance around and lets everybody know. She lacks character depth, because let's face it - Kim dickens "one impression acting" isn't going to make the sad, sad story about her poor childhood seem realistic at all. Everything she is, or does is because of nick and alisha, so her death wouldn't have any effect at all because they could both generate new storylines on their own. To top that of, she kills troy, who is certainly twisted and crazy, but also the most interesting (just my opinion) character besides nick and could've delivered some interesting development (especially the relationship with nick, but also his changing views about Mexicans etc.)
I was honestly speechless, because troys death seemed so plain and like a total waste of the character. Its not so much that I liked him, although I think his motives were sometimes reasonable. Its much more that the show runners sacrificed a complex and interesting character for someone who is unnerving since season one.
Can anybody relate to this?
