Over theGarden Wall is a great mini-series to start a Halloween tradition with!

Now that we're well into October and autumn has beseeched most of America (and elsewhere), I like to sit down with the lights turned low, a cup of apple sider and blanket to watch Over the Garden Wall, a miniseries Cartoon Network aired in November of 2014.

Though it originally aired in November, I think it was a totally missed opportunity as this show screams of the Halloween season. It's one of those shows in the same vein as Adventure Time and Regular Show, in that it's aimed for a young adult audience, but definitely borderlines on adult. I'd say this show especially with some insanely creepy and disturbing imagery and great atmosphere...

I've been watching it in October the past 3 years and it's honestly the perfect thing to get me in the mood for the season! It's the perfect blend of unsettling 19th century Americana and nostalgia!

If you have a chance, check it out! It's currently available in it's entirety (and legally) on Hulu. It's 10 episodes, all 15 minutes long. It's a great show to watch while the leaves are changing and cold wind howls outside your window...

Also, this week is the perfect tim to watch it before Stranger Things Season 2....

Happy Halloween!
