In season 3 gus' plan is to eliminate the Mexican cartel to corner the meth market north of the border because he doesn't need the mexicans anymore. So he turns the cartel onto Hank and he just hopes Hank kills both of them? How could he have known or expected the outcome of the shootout and who would win? This is kind of a big plothole because if the 2 cousins kill Hank (which would have probably been the most probable outcome) then the cartel would just hide from the DEA in Mexico and Gus would have a problem.
