[EVERYTHING] On a scale from 1 to 10, how much of a mistake was it to leave Edmure Tully out of Season 7?

I heard he's coming back for Season 8, and I'm glad.

But shouldn't we have had a bit of info on him and his family? Is he still at the Twins or did the Lannisters take him with them? Did Arya know where he was when she killed all the Freys (literally all the male heirs)? Did Edmure starve to death in a cell because no one remembered about him or what?

I would have loved a scene, a short one, where "someone" kills Edmure's prison guard(s) and breaks him free, leaving him asking himself who that was.

Also, what about Roslin? What about their child? She's one of the few surviving heirs to House Frey and their child is the legitimate heir to House Tully and... rightful ruler of Riverrun and the Trident?

Even if Edmure couldn't claim those (let's say the Freys have a right of conquest), would Roslin and Edmure's child inherit them from grandpa Walder? Or is there any child before him in the line?

So many unanswered questions, and this is about one of the major 9 houses (Tully) and one of the most important ones in Westeros (Frey). They could have included just a few mentions about the whole thing in S7.
