The show has aged insanely well. Things that I’ve noticed are how people freaked out over Skylar being a bitch back then and I agreed often, while now I feel that she’s absolutely right all along (part of me thinks that it might be because people generally root for the main guy in their shows, but like Sopranos, this main guy turned out to be quite an asshole at times)
Even knowing what would happen, ABQ ran goosebumps all over me - mostly because of the creative story writing and the photography, the teddy bear... holy shit. Genius.
The first season is far better than I perceived it when watching for the first time, they already established so many signature elements. I think it was because I wasn’t THAT used to watching that format of story driven shows and again, that amazing photography took a bit to appreciate as part of a TV show.
I’m at S03E04 right now. It is the best TV show I’ve seen. Easily (take that m, r/thewire)
