They keep calling devious things Baroque, but I think they are meant to say Byzantine

So through the show they keep saying, "Oh that's Baroque" when referring to something complicated and devious, like a scheme. However I think this is not the correct word, or use of Baroque, and what they mean to say is "Byzantine". Has anyone else noticed this?
