Am I the only one who actually likes the newer seasons?

I constantly see TWD fans bashing the newer seasons saying that the older ones are better but I honestly don't see a problem with them. I can't say that the show isn't at least partially going in the direction I want it to go. Can someone explain to me why people hate the newer seasons so much? I honestly want to understand.
