What are your two favorite Walking Dead Seasons?

Season 1 was my 2nd favorite Walking Dead season. Great introduction, acting, atmosphere. Nobody has managed to eclipse the OG Atlanta group of survivors for me. The only thing that I knocked against it is that it was too short. I also would have loved to see if Darabont ended up running the show longer before AMC screwed him

Season 4 was peak Walking Dead for me. This season was the only one sans season 1 where I never got bored or I felt like plot dragged on. The first half of the season had a fantastic payoff with the Governor's storyline. Perfect way to end it. The second half of the season breaks the whole gang up into interesting groups, which made for strong character focused stories.

Rick, Carl, and Michonne.

Daryl and Beth.

Maggie, Bob, and Sasha.

Glenn, Tara, Abraham, Eugene, and Rosita

Carol and Tyreese.

It's a common criticism later on that the Walking Dead's pacing was awful because they focused on episode on a certain character. But in season 4 I genuinely cared for each group that was separated from one another

Maggie and Glenn you cared about because you wanted Walking Dead's best ship back together.

The strong family dynamic starts with Rick, Michonne, and Carl in season 4.

Daryl and Beth have a nice laid back story and it's the last time Daryl gets character development until season 7.

Carol and Tyreese's story arc was one of the peaks of that season, when Tyreese discovered that it was Carol that killed his sick lover for the sake of survival, along with the infamous look at the flowers.

What do you guys think? What were your top two Walking Dead seasons?
