Title. Everyone is bitching in this sub "how could Arya sneak past a circle of White Walkers" and "did she jump from a tree?" Etc. Etc... NO! the entire purpose of the library scene was to show us that Aryas foot steps are literally silent. The purpose of Arya sneaking up on Jon in the Godswood of all places was to show us that again, Arya is the quickest and most silent person in the show. She didn't "sneak up" on the NK as in she wasn't tumbling from tree to tree like James Bond, she ran quickly and silently past the Walker generals and jumped straight at the NK. Right before she does this we see a walker notice something run past him but it's too quick for him to react. That is the god damn point, Arya is just super quick and stealthy and she took them by surprise. However the NK, being a badass himself wasn't actually taken by surprise like his generals were, he turned quickly and caught her by the throat and smirked at her. There was a very interesting poetic feeling to why he smirked at her, think earlier in the episode.
Dany tries her best tactic against him in her Dracarys: nope, smirk.jpeg
Jon tries his best tactic against him in 1v1 sword combat: nope, smirk.jpeg
Arya tries her best tactic against him in quickly and stealthily running and jumping out of the shadows at him: nope, smirk.jpegOHWAITSHIT. assuming Arya has no more tricks up her sleeve has doomed everyone who has thought that way. NK being no exception. Arya was the only person to be able to surprise him, and it makes sense.
I really think that's the point guys...
