[Spoilers] I just finished the show for the first time ever and I hated Walter White

Hey guys, I just finished the show for the first time ever! Even if nobody reads this, I just want to get this off my chest. I have no one to discuss this with. Sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I am a little late to the party, so obviously over the years I picked up a few key bits of the show (before I actually watched it):

1. This is the best show ever
2. Walter dies at the end
3. Walter is loved, perceived as cool, etc.

The first two seasons made sense to me according to this list,- I loved Walter as an anti-hero, I kinda disliked Jesse for messing things up all the time, HATED Skyler, HATED Marie, both were annoying as hell, everybody else was just your typical antagonist - Hank & the cops, the drug dealers, etc.

But that all turned around during the mid 3rd season I'd say. I'm not sure when, but little by little, Walter's ego started to annoy me. Little by little I saw how kind-hearted Jesse really was, how not so unreasonable Skyler was, I even started rooting for Hank to get Walter.

By the last season, I wanted:

1. Walter to lose, not die from cancer or escape/go to jail, but REALLY lose - his family, his money, his everything, a will to live so to say. I wanted him defeated and rub it in his face. I really hated him, he was a greedy, egostic piece of s. The turning point for me was already at the time he killed Gus. Not because I particularly liked Gus (though I didn't dislike him), but as Mike said "you had a good thing going, but you had to F it up". And when Walter killed Mike, I hated his guts.
2. Jesse was my fave character by the end, a true protagonist! Even though he killed the Gale, which is something I really disliked, he was still just a kid with a good heart, who got mixed with wrong people. Always sticking up for the kids, having a hard time killing people, not being interested in the money, truly caring about people, being super loyal, even respectful ("Mr. White"), etc. There was not an ounce of greed in him, nor evil. I really wanted for him to get out and live a happy ever after.
3. I still didn't like Skyler, Marie neither, I wished their scenes would end quickly. Even thought they weren't wrong, they were just annoying as hell. And Skyler was just an asshole throughout the whole show.
4. The 3 characters I actually liked: Goodman was a fucking MVP. Handsdown, I expected him to grab all their money and run or at least betray them all. But nope, he was ALWAYS there to help. And Jesse's got the second spot about being the MVP. Also, Mike was loveable because he stuck up for Jesse.

Overall - I rated the characters ESH, like the subreddit AITA, I'd vote everybody was an asshole. This was an ESH show. Thanks for reading, you guys have a great day!
