Season 9 (spoilers)

First of all- let me address the problems which most people had with this season and let me tell you why it's not a bad/dumb thing.

1. Whisperers.

It's not a dumb concept. Simply put: them wearing the skin of the dead show psychotic behavior thus leading to a more violent enemy. It's not dumb to become a whisperer because A)supply runs are a walk in the park. b)you have the ability to take down whole communities with the dead by your side. c)people are less likely to fuck with you as you may travel in a herd d)walkers are better than walls

2.Jesus's death

Although a wasted character, he was still ridiculously liked by the fan base. Killing him should the whisperers were skillful and was a great intro to the whisperers. Could it be anyone else? No. Aaron got a new arm. Daryl is carrying the show. Michonne has babies. Manga is new and so is the other one so no strong impact. Eugene wouldn't have given a strong impact too because he wasn't skillful and he was wounded.

3.reasoning for the emergence of season 3 Michonne. (Scars)

I'll admit, I thought it was the weakest ep this season but I think it sort of explains why Michonne secluded AlexAndria. Her best friend-someone who was there when her mom died, a companion who was there for her for almost her whole life before the outbreak- was willing to kill her... not only that, but her friend attempted to kill her unborn child which is one of the last remains of Rick Grimes (her husband). So I can see why she would shut people off and not trust anyone.

4.finale/kingdom

Getting rid of the kingdom is one step towards what we wanted- less shit to worry about. Now it's just Alexandria, hilltop and Oceanside. And the kingdom was growing inhabitable- they were literally running on pipes covered under duct tape- and the storm caused critical damage. It also was a relaxing close to a dramatic penultimate ep and was a great way to end what has been a phenomenal season.

And that's about it really. I can't find anything else bad about this season. It's really a good season. The first 4 episode were great and prepared us for ep 5 which I was satisfied with. Although I wasn't a big fan of 6 and 7 it was nice to see natural human behavior. ep 8 was fucking amazing, nuff said. 9 and 10 are the weakest eps but both had good cliff hangers. 11 and 12 were phenomenal. 13 was fucking Amazing. 14 although nasty and corrupted I find it to be the weakest ep but not a bad ep. 15-highlight of the season and definitely one of the best death scenes. And 16 was a great ending to a great season.

Am I implying season 9 is the best? No. Is it better than 7+8? Absolutely. Here's my list for my fave seasons: 5,4,6,9,3,2,1,8,7

This whole sub thinks s9 is the best ever due to 7+8A. Short answer: no. But definitely would come under top 5. Let me know your thoughts? Feel free to criticize
