First of all I have not read the comics. Do not spoil any future events.
I started watching TWD about 2 months ago when I was really sick. I didn’t expect to like it at all. I did it because I was extremely bored.
I know most people feel this show went down the toilet, but I disagree. I can understand, how those of you who waited every week for each episode to come out, could be disappointed by episodes like the one where Tara discovered Oceanside.
For me, I treated each individual season as one huge episode. The only one I thought was a little unsatisfying was Season 5.
Some other thoughts: Character development
Carl: I absolutely despised Carl in Season 2 of TWD. I actually thought it was poor acting as well. But he actually grew on me quite a bit.
Daryl: The way he has developed is absolutely incredible. I got my girlfriend to start watching (she’s on Season 3) I realized he didn’t even make the credits at first, now he’s the very first to appear on the screen. Easily my favorite TV character.
One more thing, I’ve seen all the articles speculating about the return of Rick Grimes. I know this, The Walking Dead ALWAYS wraps up every character. Nobody disappears, even Morales was wrapped up 7 seasons later. I believe we will see him in TWD again, even if it’s like a Michael Scott return in The Office.
Once again I haven’t read the comics.
