I’m wondering if Strand will tell Daniel what happened to Madison and Nick. I’m assuming it will be briefly mentioned to him but there is no way I could see Daniel believing how Madison “died” With Nick maybe but then again Daniel might just never trust Strand again anyways and I wouldn’t blame him.
But Daniel and Madison, while it might be reaching were very VERY similar characters in my opinion. They were both at their core, survivors. They looked out for their family first, and weren’t afraid to do anything to anyone if it meant keeping their family alive. Daniel definitely noticed this the moment Madison let him torture Andy in Season 1. At the end of the day Daniel probably knew Madison was like him and was willing to do anything for her family, like help protecting Daniels Dam to give her kids a safe place to live. He’s a smart guy and he knew how similar they were at the end of the day and I hope the writers realized this and made Daniel doubtful of Madison’s death.
The optimal conversation they have is something along these lines:
D: “And what happened to Madison?”
V: “She burned to death in a stadium filled with the dead.”
D: “That sounds like bullshit Victor, she wouldn’t go out like that, you should know that more than most”
V: “Well she did. She told us to drive and so we drove”
D: “Did you even look for her body? Did you watch her die? Did you look to see if she escaped at all?”
V: “Why would we? It would be insane! An entire facility lit to flames, and filled with the dead!? Salazar be rational nobody is surviving that.”
D: “Victor I survived that! Or do I need to remind you of what happened to your OWN home?! And when I did it I had lost my own mind! What made you think she couldn’t survive?!”
V:
D: “Maybe you might have some searching to do at some point”
At the end of the day I realize this calls back to too many points from anything pre season 4 so it’s unlikely and hopeless but it would be weird if Daniel just kind of accepted Madison was dead.
