I think I might know why AMC is keeping this going

You know when TV shows need to get 100 episodes for syndication to play on other networks? In two more seasons of 16 episodes they will have hit that mark.

They've syndicated The Walking Dead on regular television and local broadcast stations before and that now has almost 150 episodes and is a streaming service behemoth like The Office, Game of Thrones, Friends, etc.

If Fear hits that number the show will be more valuable to possible syndication rights. On top of that Fear would likely get more streaming views being so big next to Walking Dead. Quantity over quality sort of thing.

Or is that now not how they do it anymore?
