Written in Noah’s notebook at the end of the episode in 5x14, after Aiden and Noah’s deaths. The first two post Alexandria... it’s interesting that Eugene is the one to see it, “This is the beginning” is so haunting to see knowing what happens to almost everyone Eugene and the audience knows.
