In 3X05 the opening scene is Chuck and Jimmy making up the lie to Rebecca about the electricity bill mix up between 512 and 215.
I think this scene was also meant to explain how Jimmy came up with his brilliant idea of switching addresses. And how Chuck figured it out easily.
