[NO SPOILERS] If you don’t look like the character, you can still cosplay them

I’m so tired of people telling cosplayers who they get to cosplay. On every last post with a person dressed up as a certain character there is at least one person saying “BuT yoU wouLd LooK betTer aS insert character here” What if they don’t want to be that character or to paraphrase one cosplayer “don’t get the character”. Why can’t you just appreciate the all work they put into their cosplay?

Just let people cosplay who they want to cosplay dammit.
