Anyone else watching "For All Mankind"? It's been surprisingly good.

I went into it with low expectations--the whole alternate history angle usually doesn't interest me too much. And Apple isn't exactly producing a lot of must-watch content. But it's created by Ronald D. Moore, who's earned a lot of credit with me from Deep Space Nine and Battlestar Galactica.

I've watched the first three episodes so far, and it's actually really a fun show. They've done an excellent job on the period-piece angle, really capturing the same feel as stuff like Apollo 13, From The Earth To The Moon, and The Right Stuff. But with the alt-history premise, you don't automatically know where the story is going. And it throws in some interesting angles about gender relations during the late 60s early 70s without it being too cliched.

I just hope Moore has learned enough from what happened with Battlestar that he has a long-term plan in place for this if it ends up surviving more than a couple seasons.
