Normally I’m pretty neutral or even bored by the shows they like to watch, but this was... indescribably good. Everything that I can think of paid off, and usually the set ups don’t - even in an adult tv show. The threats were inventive and dangerous, I was invested in the characters early, and the ending was among the best I’ve ever seen. The themes they played with were complicated but at the same time very relatable. The dues ex machine was even very carefully approached with reasons and progressed the character arcs. I actually struggle to name a series I’ve enjoyed more and I’m slightly disappointed that I didn’t watch it sooner.
