I watched the documentary series on Netflix called Afflicted, and then just so happened to decide watching Better Call Saul. I thought, oh wow Chuck is just like the lady from Afflicted, they believe they're sensitive to electricity. At first I thought not much of it, because the documentary series came out in 2018 (a few years after the first season) but I noticed in Chuck's final scenes of Season 3 he developed a jaw spasm. There was also another lady on Afflicted who had the exact jaw spasm, supposedly caused by something with her brain making her think she was constantly off balance. When I saw that I couldn't help but wonder if the writers were directly mocking them.
I was actually expecting Chuck would eventually go bankrupt from spending thousands on wacky treatments from quack doctors, but maybe he just never found out about them because he refused to use a computer or the internet etc but it would have been a fascinating part of the plot.
Side note, getting frustrated Season 4 is not on Netflix...
