What was it like to watch TWD from the show’s premiere, following it year after year?

I started the show in right after s6 came out (2016 i think) and I binged it all in like two months. When I started following fanpages I was really shocked to see how many people hated season 2 and the filler episodes in 4b since a lot of my favorite episodes came from there. I’m guessing there’s more appreciation for those seasons now that you can watch it all at once. But what was it like to watch TWD episode by episode? Was there really that much complaining?

Why TWD became so boring in season 7

i've never understood the hype of TWD and gave a try 2 months ago and binged the show until s7e5 it's just so boring now i don't even wanna know what's up later... is the rest worth it?

TWD Saints and Sinners Mission Bug

Hey there, not sure if I should post this here or somewhere else, but here goes. I’m currently on the mission The Tomb and The Tower Part V, and I think my game is bugged. I’m supposed to find yet another set of tower intel at one of the locations you travel to, but it’s just not there. I’ve looked on youtube to find where it’s supposed to spawn, and it just isn’t there and I’m not sure what to do. Anybody able to help or got any ideas?

So I'm just curious can anyone see why Littlefinger would try to cause a feud between Sansa and Arya Stark? Because from my standpoint he doesn't gain anything out of it other then death which doesn't seem worth it.

News or things to be excited for

I wish we would get some news regarding the future of this franchise. I feel as though it’s been very bland compared to what we have had in the past in regards to things that get us excited for the Walking Dead. Movie news? (Been over a year and all we have is a 20 second trailer) Potential world building news? Is Fear going to not be a total disgrace again? I guess we will see. Thoughts or anything to add anyone?

With legit sources to back up your claims, does anyone have an idea what happened in those pilots? Idk why they wont release this long night pilot but all i keep hearing about the original got pilot with tamzin merchant and some other cut actors is that its very embarrassing but really that is their opinions

but rather than keep asking why they wont release it, id like to know if anyone actually saw that and leaked footage or something cause i cant find any online, maybe on some torrent or dark/deep web its released but im not risking jail time or a fine to find footage, even game of thrones isnt worth it.

What if someone is immuned

Influenza, H1N1, Small Pox, even aids, all diseases have some people that can't be infected. So what if the gang come across a small community of people that are somehow immune. If they get bit or scratched they don't turn and when they die they just die? They don't know how they are immune but anyone that is from outside their community is still a carrier of the 'walker pathogen'

[NO SPOILERS] Is Game Of Thrones worth buying HBO for or buying the specific seasons through another service?

Title says it all, I already have two streaming services and most likely wouldn’t be doing much else on HBO other than watching Game of Thrones, in all honesty I’d be going in blind but am interested in it, should I just buy a single episode before biting the bullet and going for it or is it not really worth going out of my way for? If you think I should get HBO for Game of Thrones, are there any other good options on HBO so I can calm my crying wallet?

Two characters

A spoiler in the sense of just general discussion of the development has been for the characters michone and carrol. Sorry don’t know how to hide the text

Spoiler spoiler spoiler

First time posting on this sub so sorry if this was brought up but am I the only one who doesn’t like these characters anymore and won’t be sad if/when they are killed off or leave the show. To me carol has just become such a headcase after Henry which is reasonable, so to me the only way her character would be interesting to me going forward would be for her to die fighting Alpha. Would be a total shock after she is always the one saving the day and surviving. Michone on the other hand is just annoying as the leader, I liked her better as the second to Rick when she would not take his shit and telling him how it is. But everyone has their favorites and least favorite characters. Abe will always be mine

As I am watching Jadis sit over Negan with a bloody bat he explains “that was the work of someone not following the program”. Explain Negan’s Program...

I have been thinking about it and so far I see his character as forgiving. I do wonder about his “kill one off the bat” attitude towards new groups but the rest of his tactics seem on par with his claims.

The first time we see the Saviors the crew that met up with Ricks crew seemed to take joy in the initial kill phase. Have the Saviors ever used reason when taking that first sacrifice?

[SPOILERS] Would Bronn dying here give him a proper arc?

So Bronn is easily one of my favorite characters, and I think I'm in the minority when I say that I really like the whole idea that Bronn is pissed at the Lannisters for making him do all the dirty work, and I actually like the tavern scene with him in s8; him saying all great houses began with cutthroats; although it could be executed better. Nonetheless, I never would have thought he'd make it to season 8, and it feels weird that he's one of the only characters that didn't really change throughout the span of the show.

So could he have been a more well rounded character if he died at the end of S7E4, Spoils of War. To refresh: this is the episode with a huge battle scene between Dany and the Lannisters and the latter doesn't stand a chance against Drogon and the Dothraki. A large part of the battle follows Bronn, giving him a proper set up to be killed off (I think that scene was so tense because I though Bronn wasgoing to die). He ends up crippling Drogon a bit with the Scorpion arrow, so Jamie takes the chance to try to kill Dany only to almost be scorched by the dragon but Bronn saves him. So should this rescue have been a sacrifice? Bronn ends up pushing Jamie out of the way, but ends up being incinerated in the process. This shows that Bronn actually cares about someone else besides himself, gold, and whores. It does seem a bit cheesy of an arc, but I think we can all agree that Bronn as the master of coin on the small council feels way out of place (Even master of war would have been better). And there was no way to flesh out the Bronn vs Lannister conflict in 6 episodes.

TLDR: should Bronn have been killed by Drogon in S7 in a sacrifice to save Jamie to show that he finally cares for someone else

Was there a huge climate shift in the show I wasn’t aware of? or do Georgians really think that the DMV (DC, Maryland, VIrginia) get these type of blizzards and snowstorms, especially at the BEGINNING of the winter? We legit rarely pass a few inches each year and that’s typically only in February and March. I’m watching this and almost forgot they were supposed to be set in Virginia. It looked very Winterfell-ish for a hot second.

[NO SPOILERS] Is GoT a "TV show?"

Alternative title: how much of a satisfactory conclusion do individual seasons have?

I've never seen a single GoT episode, but the Witcher recently got me hungering in for more fantasy shows. Problem is: I'm really not a fan of TV. Specifically, how most shows have a soap-style lack of narrative resolution to them, making the story feel incomplete instead of part of a larger whole. I much prefer the movie format of a singular tale with a beginning, middle, and end. Bite sized entertainment.

So my question is, to all you who've seen them: how does the first seasin stack up as its own entity? Does it tell a compelling tale by itself, or does it only work in conjucture with the rest?

To put it another way: if the show had been canceled after season one, would you have been extremely ticked off (due to cliffhangers, unresolved plots, etc)? Or would it still hold up as a standalone experience?

[Spoilers] If the show had ended differently.......

If Jon hadn't killed Dany and they married, how would they have handled the 7 Kingdoms?

A large part of the North does support Jon, but many also share Sansa's point of view in wanting independence from the Iron Throne. I picture Sansa praying for the gruesome death of both Jon and Dany when she finds out that the Iron Islands were given Independence, while she and the North were denied it. Would Jon have tried to talk Arya into taking over as Warden of the North? Does he elevate another family entirely, deposing House Stark?

The Vale disdains both Dany AND Jon, they were in the North and stayed because of Sansa. Sansa would not be inclined to help Dany and Jon's regime in any way. The Vale won't go to war with The Targaryen Empire lightly but they will never be truly loyal. I see a Sansa (striped of the North), moving to the Vale, trading on her fathers memory and making a prominent marriage. In the book Sansa dreams of having children whom she'll teach to hate her enemies and I think the show version is very in line with that school of thought.

The Stormlands, in the books and the show, many of the high lords resented Davos's elevated position, I don't see those families relishing having to answer to one of Robert's up jumped by blows. I expect in-fighting in the Stormlands.

The Reach, while many support Dany, every family that lost someone at the field of fire (it wasn't just the Tarly's remember they swayed a number of prominent Houses into supporting their rebellion against House Tyrell) are now a sworn enemy to Dany's new regime.

The Riverlands. I got the impression Edmure wasn't so secure. The way the Riverlands soldiers looked at Edmure when he let the Lannister soldiers into Riverrun (Season 6). The way many Houses feel about the Heir to the Riverlands (VIA Edmure) is part Frey.

The only unified Kingdom (or more unified than most, since they supposedly they had their own skirmishes for inner Kingdom supremacy) is Dorne.

The Westerlands, while technically, belonging to Tyrion, hate him. He is known as a kinslayer. The Westerlands don't have enough power to out and out rebel but they hate the new regime as much as anyone.

And Jon and Dany will have to hold all this together with diminished Unsullied and one dragon. Westeros could start attacking the way Mereen did. Sneak attacks agains one Unsullied here or there. Especially if people from across the ocean come, since word will spread that the Dragon Queen only has one dragon left.

Do you think Dany as Queen and Jon as her consort, would have been able to hold onto power?

Jimmy's confidence with Kim

Just re-watched all of BCS, and apart from Chuck letting his perfectly good Kitchen Aid die with him in a house fire, something struck me;

All initiation of affection within Jimmy and Kim's relationship if lead by Kim. I think this is with good reason to show us that Jimmy is very much letting Kim take the lead, and maaaaybe he knows he's puching above his weight (he does know). However in the new trailer we see Jimmy grab Kim for a kiss. He more than likely feels confident enough to do this because of Saul persona.

I've had wine, so maybe I'm wrong. Please discuss.

Season 4

It seems that there are many posts about how bad season 4 is, but I would like to ask important questions for me.

What the fuck has been going on in the minds of showrunners since season 4? The showrunner of 1-3 seasons was Dave Erickson and 3 damn seasons we watcher the story of Maddison and her family. But when Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg arrived, they suddenly decided that they knew better what the audience liked and began to literally shove us Morgan. Why? If you like this fucking character so much, make a separate series about him. Maddison, Nicholas and Victor were my favorite characters in season 1-3 and what happened next? Maddison was killed not even in season 4, but simply behind the scenes, her death was shown IN MEMORIES. Maddison, who was the main character of 1-3 seasons, deserved to die in memories, and Nicholas dies in the first episodes of season 4, and the remaining characters simply turn into an addition to Morgan.

What the fuck is that? Is anyone else furious with this? Why did the new show runners give a damn about what came before them and why did Dave Erickson leave? Did he get fired?

New Trailer

I just got a Better Call Saul trailer as an advertisement before a YouTube video. I've seen all the recent sneak peaks and teasers, but this one was much longer. It had a song in the background, and showed a scene with Hank's face fully visible, in addition to Mike beating up one of the guys we saw following him down the street. I can't seem to find this trailer anywhere. Anyone have any information?

I honestly can’t help but love Negan

Watching them eat dinner, teaching Carl how to shave, making pasta and bread rolls.

Despite all of the hard to watch parts, everytime I see some scenes, I smile.

Also, Shaved Negan is like, the best looking TWD Character, no exceptions.

Theory: Gene will take up more cold opens

S4E5 we had the flashforward scene
What if in S5 and S6, instead of saving the last 3 episodes for Gene, they just have more cold opens with Gene?

Maybe in S5 it could be in E1, E5 and E10 and in S6, E1, E3, E5, E7, E9, E11 and E13?

that adds up to 10 gene cold opens, which I guess can be the equivalent of 1 and half episodes of Gene, while showing us more Saul Goodman

Breaking Bad sort of did this for the post-Ozymandias scenes and it could be interesting with Gene. It could even be Memento style (Nolan Film)

Unless Dante helped him out by positioning Cheryl's grave (old lady from Alexandria he killed) close enough to a underground sewer opening (we did see him jumping into an underground tunnel in the first trailer of the second half) so that he could just reach out.

Season 5 Finale - One of the best endings ever

I am currently rewatching the series from the beginning and I just finished season 5, episode 16.

The ending is one of the best endings out of all the episodes, at least through season 5. Glenn and Nicholas, Sasha and Gabriel, Pete’s outburst, walkers getting into the town during the town meeting...so much tension. It’s great! Not to mention the return of Morgan. The “wolves” are kind of lame, but everything else about this ending was so well done. This has to be one of the best endings in the show’s 10 year history.

Its weird to go from seasons 1-4 of Family Guy to the current seasons because it's like switching between 2 different shows.

There are some episodes past season 4 that I like. Episodes like Road To Multiverse or Road To The North Pole are pretty enjoyable to me, but the show tends to have more bad episodes than good ones. Its weird to watch episodes like Wasted Talent, Peter Peter Caviar Eater, and Death Is A Bitch to episodes like Fresh Heir, Screams Of Silence, and Seahorse Seashell Party. The first couple of seasons had character development and didn't rely on shock humor or cutaways to push the episode along. Now they have episodes like Yacht Rocky that feature a minute of runtime dedicated to Chris trying to the decapitated head of Megs deceased new boyfriend up to her. They spent a full minute on that one gag. The episode was filled with just random gags. Then there's episodes like Dead Dog Walking where they spend another full minute on a gag of a fat woman having trouble opening a bag. Its just night and day comparing old episodes to new episodes. I can sit down and actually watch episodes like If I'm Dyin, I'm Lyin because there's such a charm to episodes like that... But they're newer stuff is like background noise material.

I stopped watching the walking dead after season 6, the cliff hangers and waiting for months on end to catch it hoping the media doesn't leak it first.

Watching it on Amazon Prime is great, I can instantly follow the story. Now I'm watching new episodes from season 7 onwards. This is great. :)

Theory on Jesse pinkmans childhood

I had a thought due whilst rewatching the series, how good Jesse was with all the kids that he had interactions with (the junkies kid, Brock, his friends kid who he was going to stay with, doing right by Tomas, Kaylee mikes granddaughter and drew sharp)

They struck up a new type of emotion in him, like he felt a real need to protect each one of them regardless of what happened to him.

I thought that maybe as Jesse is supposed to be around 25 in the series and his parents id say mid 40s, that they could have neglected him or spoilt him so badly that he wasn’t given the same upbringing Jake had. Then now they have Jake and could realise their mistakes they’re now helicopter parents to him. Maybe the reason why he’s so desperate to make sure these kids have someone their watching their backs and always doing right by them, his parents might not have given him that.

It was just a random thought but I wish we could have seen some of young Jesse to see what happened in his past. Please let me know your insights, I just feel like his desperation to look after the kids has something to do with his childhood.

Judith is so selfish

In season 5, episode 10, everyone in the group bands together to help hold the doors shut and keep the walkers out during the storm. Everyone, that is, except for Judith. Little Miss Polly Prissypants just sits there and does absolutely nothing to contribute.

Rick should have abolished her from the group then and there. I realize she's his daughter, so maybe he was just playing favorites, but if anyone else had pulled this shit, Rick would have told them to hit the road.

Corner Gas is an underrated 90s comedy show that not enough people know about.

If you like shows like The office, parks and rec, community, Brooklyn 99, etc. you might like this show. You may not have heard of it since it's an old Canadian show. Its dumb but clean comedy with characters that are almost like family. It's on Amazon prime (free with commercials) if anyone wants to watch it.

I think an important plotline from S4 is being overlooked...

Kim’s public defender work. I’m really feeling Saul is going to present the idea of making big bucks off the people nobody else wants to legally defend, and that’s where Kim’s conflict will be. Yes Saul is slipping into crookery and the criminal underworld, but lots of people are getting help who would otherwise have to rot in jail forever.

We’ve seen a lot of people suspect Kim leaves in the beginning or middle of this season, but I really feel Wexler’s passion for helping people with the law is going to keep her with Jimmy a little longer than we may think. Especially with the last episode’s description that was released recently.

[No Spoilers] Where was HBO's QA dept. during final 2 seasons?

I understand HBO gave full creative control to the writer-producers of the show but they should know that sometimes even creators themselves get in their own way and make mistakes or produce work that drops in quality. Isn't there someone at HBO to make sure each season of their acclaimed series' maintains the highest quality, not only in technical aspects, but narrative aspects as well? How much is HBO responsible for the decline in narrative quality of the final 2 (or 3 or 4, depending on your own take) seasons of GoT? Do they even have a QA dept.? IMO this failsafe should be included in future contracts to prevent another GoT S8 situation from happening again if HBO is still in the business of making HQ TV.

Was the contagion in the first season some sort of first mutation? Why are Walkers able manipulate their environment when later seasons they seem incapable or atleast uninterested?

The first girl we see picking up the Teddy Bear ?! Fence climbing, rock throwing, doorknob turning walkers‽

Im sure im super late to this discussion. I just started watching the show a few weeks ago and got to a point where a character “returned” who I didnt recognize so I started back from the beginning and was thrown off by Teddy Bear girls abilities.

How does everyone feel about Negan's upcoming story given Maggie is returning?

Will Maggie confront Negan again, will Negan die in the upcoming conflict or will he get exiled or just walk away into the sunset like the comics?

I personally think it would be pointless having another Maggie/Negan moment since it already happened but I'm interested to hear everyone's thoughts on the community! You can hear my full thoughts and my taken some of the theories going around using youtube.com/watch?v=vzU7Yp5QICc.

Something To Fear (6.16/7.01 fan edit)

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1A5fNbuGF_unEXkUOv9v_MePtpychORtU?usp=sharing

I really think Negan's arrival could have been handled so much better, so after three years of thinking about it, I finally decided to cut the two episodes together and put the scenes in chronological order, for the most part. I separated the two episodes into three parts. Morgan and Carol's storyline (also Carl/Enid's convo) was cordoned off into it's own 20 minute "prologue." The prologue is meant to (hopefully) get you hyped for the main story while keeping it from feeling too bloated and slow. I also put everything that takes place after Glenn's death into an epilogue. You can honestly skip both of these if you really want to.

Something To Fear is literally just Last Day on Earth, but excluding the Carol/Morgan scenes and with an actual ending. I tried to mesh the conclusion of 6.16 with the reveal in 7.01 as best as I could, and I think it turned out pretty good.

I am in no way a professional when it comes to video editing. In order to do this, I literally just Googled "best free video editor," and found one that seemed to be able to do the job (DaVinci Resolve).

Feel free to leave your thoughts and criticisms in the comments, and PLEASE let me know if there's something I need to fix. I hope you guys like it.

[Spoilers] question about the Golden Company

Now I know a detail like this didn't even come close to being in the series, so it's pretty much about the books. As legendary of a rep that the Golden Company had as paid warriors (so mercenaries?) they obviously weren't perfect. A certain amount of them would've still been slain within every single battle for which they were hired. But my nerd brain go to thinking of this, did each GC member personally receive their payment before any battle was then traveled to and fought? because I realized, there had to be at times were some of them killed virtually immediately in the battle, so obviously that exact dude ain't spending that gold anywhere. But so would their families have then had it as a passing on in their blood, or did the "management" (for lack of a better word) of the GC get to keep it?

I’m watching the series for the third or fourth time after over five years, and I’m beginning to realize how such a selfish character Walter White is.

I just watched the last episode of Season 2 and decided to subscribe to this subreddit and post this question. Yea, I do have some sympathy for Walt now and again, but what he’s done to Jesse and the collateral damage to his family is nothing but selfish and messed up. The last time I watched this I was a teenager, so back then I didn’t notice all the nuances or abuse Walter does to others around him. But, do I share the general consensus about Walter and Jesse? Previously, I liked Walter over Jesse, now it’s the other way around. What do you guys feel about it?

Edit: I last watched the series in 2013, so it was over six years not five. My error.

Once you notice it it gets kind of annoying. Like it just seems out of place idk why. Everyone seems so generic like out of a tv commercial or a college pamphlet. Or one of those medication commercials. Everyone is so clean too.

When you watched this episode what did you think of Carol throughout the episode did you think after she got captured she really tried to convince Paula that she didn't want to kill her and the situation could have been resolved peacefully (most likely not) or was Carol really going to kill Paula either way it happened ?

I think after everything Carol has been through mentally and physically till that point in the show that she wanted another way out instead of having to kill these 3 woman

The Breaking Bad Universe

I personally have loved Breaking Bad, El Camino & Better Call Saul. I am super excited to see how this perfect universe concludes with these last 23 episodes. I personally believe season 5 should end where Saul meets Walt, then have the first 10 episodes of season 6 take place during the Breaking Bad timeline with points of view from Saul. So that way we get a different angle from what was happening. Then the last 3 episodes wraps up Gene's arc. Also how do you think we will see Walt & Jesse in BCS? I have a feeling it needs to happen before the whole show ends. Thus connecting the two in that fashion. One last thing, I think would be cool is during the Gene era show Jesse in Alaska just working on woodwork and feeling relaxed and not have a massive amount of anxiety for what's going on around him. I doubt we will get that, but I can hope. What are your guys thoughts, on how it should end?

Avatar The Last Airbender's Zuko Alone is an absolute masterpiece.

The entire series is phenomenal, but this episode is really one of the greatest creations ever. All of the episodes messages and points aren't even overtly said, everything is subtle and done with really good tact.

It really is a testament to how great Zuko's character is, to carry an entire episode isn't something most of the characters on the show can do. The mature themes this show tackles really could only be done with a character like his.

It also is one of the few episodes that even someone who doesn't know anything about the show can watch. I once showed my Fiance this episode because of how reluctant she was to watch a ''Cartoon'' and she was absolutely hooked from then on.

Kim Wexler is my favourite female character ever! (Who are some of your favourite female characters of all time?)

I just finished rewatching the whole show and came to the realization that I've never been this invested in, intrigued by and attached to a female character this much before. I'm talking both movies and TV, she is my favourite one ever put to screen. Maybe I gotta watch more shit or something or maybe its just recency bias but I dunno, I can't think of another example who I enjoy watching as much. I'd love to hear other people's opinions on favourite female characters in the comments but for me, Kim takes that spot. She's so well written, well acted, complex, interesting and just goddamn awesome. I love lots of female characters but there is just something different about her and I don't know how to explain it.

For me this show is the best on TV at the whole 'show rather than tell' concept and I think this is what really makes it such a strong character show. It takes its time to show us what makes Kim such a great lawyer, to explore the development of her relationship with Jimmy and we see how her goals and perspectives change throughout the show. For me it was season 4 that cemented it. Just so many great Kim moments throughout and she's come so far from her early days at HHM when we first meet her. I think I realized how invested I was in her during that argument scene on the roof of the parking lot in Season 4 Episode 9. One of my favourite scenes in the whole show but it just hurt me so much watching it. It's such a well written and well acted scene, you really understand both characters perspectives and they just feel like real people to me at this point. I know there's gotta be something bad coming for Kim and Jimmy's relationship considering she doesn't exist in the BB universe but I have so much trust in these writers and know it'll make for some phenomenal television! Holy shit, I can't wait for season 5!

After watching “Don’t F*** With Cats” on Netflix, there needs to be a documentary around “We Did It, Reddit!” and the “Search” for the Boston Marathon Bomber

Although I’d argue that the role of the internet group from “Don’t Fuck With Cats” was inflated in the documentary, as a lot of the progress in case was hand fed to the group, it did paint internet vigilantism in a somewhat positive light. Within the first episode however, there is a brief detour when the group flags a suspect incorrectly, even though that individual wasn’t connected whatsoever and had committed suicide prior to his identification.

I’m sure a lot of viewers who have been around Reddit long enough were reminded of the “investigation” that took place on this site for the suspects in the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing. For those not in the know, here is a fantastic Atlantic article on the failed manhunt.

TLDR: Internet sleuths on Reddit started a subreddit called r/findbostonbombers, where users investigated photo evidence and eventually came to the false conclusion that the perpetrator was a missing Brown University student, Sunil Tripathi, who had actually taken his own life.

This false ID brought a lot of pain and hurt to a grieving family and showed “the best and worst of Reddit’s potential”, and the dangers of internet vigilantism.

[No Spoilers] Just finished Game of Thrones. The first 5-6 seasons were some of the best I'd ever seen. The last 2 seemed really rushed and didn't have good reasons for why things happened. Why didn't they just extend the series by another few seasons?

Man, it pains me to think about. There was just so much nonsense in the last couple seasons. Up until then it was literally the perfect show. I could barely sleep I was so addicted to watching it. I'm pretty sure other people feel the same way, but I haven't had a lot of time to read the various subs since I've been avoiding them until now. What was the reason they had for not extending it? Blah.

Catch me up on The Walking Dead

I stopped watching quite a while ago and I recently got super into the Telltale game series, so now I'm kind of interested to know what's happened in the show since I last watched. However, I'm not quite sure if I'm interested enough to go through and watch everything I've missed.

Basically, I quit watching when Glenn died. Can anybody be generous to go through with the task of telling me what's happened since then, without necessarily avoiding spoilers (I'll forget most spoilers by the time I see the episodes anyways probably).

Why did these character's deaths bother so little people?

So, let's flash back to the season 7 premiere. Both Abraham and Glenn get their heads bashed in by Negan's bat Lucille. Both of these deaths (Especially Glenn's) hit everyone hard in the emotions category. Lots of fans stopped watching the show because they were so upset over the deaths of these two beloved characters. However, I was prepared for their deaths, due to the innumerable amount of spoilers plastered all over the internet. However, these aren't the deaths I'm referring to.

*I'm gonna just put this here: If you haven't watched season 9 of The Walking Dead, go back now. I don't want to spoil it for anybody.*

Now lets go two seasons forward to the second to last episode of season 9, "The Calm Before". I find this to be the most brutal episode of the entire series, since ten notable characters are killed off, three of them being especially prominent. There wasn't even any real buildup to their deaths, they were just presented to us already dead, and it hit me like a truck. I went into season 9 with a little knowledge of the segment of the comic season 9 is based on. In the comic, the survivors find Ezekiel and Rosita's heads mounted on pikes that serve as the markers for the territory of the Whisperers. I knew about this, and I knew they wouldn't kill off Ezekiel, and I thought Rosita would have an 80% chance of survival since she's a lot more important in the show than the comic.

Well to my surprise, instead of two decapitated beloved characters, we got ten of them, the ones that garnered the most emotion from me being Enid, Henry, and especially Tara. It may have been because I didn't know of these deaths ahead of time, but these deaths hit me hard and I've felt lowkey depressed for the last few days lol. We were just getting to know Henry, Enid had a bright future going for her, and Tara was Hilltop's last standing leader figure and just an overall great character.

It seems like lots of people didn't really care for these character's because there was no mass outcries from the fanbase like there was with Glenn and Abe. Hopefully we get to see them again in flashbacks so they won't be entirely gone ;(

S3E7, what made Mike change his mind?

He was at the support group meeting at the church with Stacey, and after hearing Anita say she wishes that she knew what happened to her husband (and that it shouldn't matter, but it does), Mike called Daniel Wormald to say he's in for the deal.

Why did Mike change his mind?

Finished re-watching and I caught a subtle detail.

Kim loves slippin' jimmy. She loves the con artist that is still on the side of 'good.' Chaotic good, I'd say. She likes doing the con jobs with him as slippin' Jimmy because it was good. Throughout Season 4 it shows Jimmy leaning more and more towards "Saul Goodman" with his morals, and Kim questioning them. It's a very subtle detail but when Jimmy makes crazy suggestions about how to con people in a non-moral way; such as the elaborate credit card scheme he comes up with when they are in the bar "just talking", or the original idea he has to help save Huell from certain jail time. Each time he comes up with a non-moral idea, Kimmy seems astonished. I think at one point she even asks Jimmy why he would do that to someone who is good.

Slippin' Jimmy is chaotic good. Saul Goodman is chaotic evil.

Sandpiper Settlement and the Vacuum Cleaner Repairman

We know that the disappearer charges $600k for a hot client. We know from El Camino that he won’t settle for a dollar less than his fee.

We can know Jimmy’s share of Sandpiper is $1,160,000.

We can infer that Jimmy knows the disappearer in Breaking Bad. We can infer from Jimmy’s fear of Lalo in the beginning that he’d be a hot extraction.

The Sandpiper settlement would cover one disappearance, not two.

My thought: Jimmy uses the Sandpiper money to help Kim disappear. He doesn’t have enough to go with her.

He goes into Breaking Bad likely looking to raise the money for his disappearance (he routinely tries to convince Walt to pay for his disappearance).

My guess is through circumstance, Jimmy pays to disappear Kim when they both get in over their heads. He’s stuck behind trying to raise enough for his disappearing fee. He probably loses a lot to overhead and crime. When he encounters Walt, he sees his chance to raise the $600,000 and is basically trying to work Walt for a $600,000 disappearing fee from day one. Which is why he basically keeps trying to steer Walt’s operation into the ground while protecting the money and continually pushing the disappearer option if you look at it from a certain POV.

Walt is his ticket to a new life from day one and Jimmy is running a long con to get it.

Helicopter coincidence

Started rewatching from the beginning and found something odd. The helicopter from the last episode in season two seemingly led the walkers from the city to the farm. Maybe not directly but the helicopter still showed significance. Rick sees a helicopter throughout the series and is picked up by one when he “dies”. Someone may have said this already or it may have been talked about somewhere and I just missed it but have the people that picked rick up been following him from the beginning to test him and then get him at a certain point? Just thoughts here but was wondering if anyone had clarity on it?

about to start season 3 of breaking bad, and i have a prediction (spoilers)

does anyone else think heisenberg is going to turn out to be walt? heisenberg is supposedly a chemistry genius, or else he woudn't be able to make such pure meth, and we know walt has a background in chemistry. plus it would explain why walt keeps being gone all the time and coming up with weird excuses. my theory is that walt has actually been cooking meth under the name heisenberg, and thats how he's been able to pay for his cancer treatment. if you remember back in episde 1 he was so poor that he had to have a second job washing cars, and he quit that job, yet somehyow he's able to afford very expensive chemo. anyway that's just a theory ut i'd like to know what you guys think, hopefully i get to find out in season 3

Watching this show is a rite of passage and to those who watch it will come away with your own message. It’s well written and has a necessary amount of sentiment. Some of the situations are a little far fetched, or seemed like a throw in but I feel that there are moments in our lives that impact us in the way the story of this show is told and when you tie in something relatable to the story and really watch it it makes it that much more meaningful...and yes I did cry at the finale like a fucking baby!

[NO SPOILERS] Charles Dance in Trinity & Game of Thrones: Too many similarities...

I started watching Trinity on Tubi and noticed that more than a little of Dance's dialogue and blocking and even some scene ideas match up with his Tywin scenes in Game of Thrones, but Trinity came out in 2009.

Some actors do act the same in everything they do. It could be argued that maybe it's just coincidence that Dance's portrayals are somewhat similar across the two dissimilar series and that perhaps he just fell into that hole of non-originality.

Yet, I don't think that's the case here: In one scene, the character Dance plays, Dr Edmund Maltravers, moves the meeting of the college leaders from the room where the Warden expects it to take place to his own office as a power play, for example, which is a lot like when Tywin moved the Small Council meetings.

It's almost as if some Tywin moments that looked original in GoT were pulled from Trinity. And the one example above wouldn't be so bothersome if there weren't similar points of character dialogue and physical movement in relation to other characters.

The only other thing I can imagine, instead of D&D pulling some things from Trinity to use in GoT, is that maybe Dance had a lot of input about the portrayal of Tywin and he just happened to accidentally suggest dialogue, movement and scene ideas from the other show.

Either way, it's "interesting" to watch Dance in both series and listen to small pieces of dialogue and even character voice tone that match, watch movements with other characters that match and then see something like the meeting change, for example.

Edit: I apologize. I marked this post as no spoilers and then realized that the meeting change might be considered a spoiler. I have no way of editing the title.
