[NO SPOILERS] Charles Dance in Trinity & Game of Thrones: Too many similarities...

I started watching Trinity on Tubi and noticed that more than a little of Dance's dialogue and blocking and even some scene ideas match up with his Tywin scenes in Game of Thrones, but Trinity came out in 2009.

Some actors do act the same in everything they do. It could be argued that maybe it's just coincidence that Dance's portrayals are somewhat similar across the two dissimilar series and that perhaps he just fell into that hole of non-originality.

Yet, I don't think that's the case here: In one scene, the character Dance plays, Dr Edmund Maltravers, moves the meeting of the college leaders from the room where the Warden expects it to take place to his own office as a power play, for example, which is a lot like when Tywin moved the Small Council meetings.

It's almost as if some Tywin moments that looked original in GoT were pulled from Trinity. And the one example above wouldn't be so bothersome if there weren't similar points of character dialogue and physical movement in relation to other characters.

The only other thing I can imagine, instead of D&D pulling some things from Trinity to use in GoT, is that maybe Dance had a lot of input about the portrayal of Tywin and he just happened to accidentally suggest dialogue, movement and scene ideas from the other show.

Either way, it's "interesting" to watch Dance in both series and listen to small pieces of dialogue and even character voice tone that match, watch movements with other characters that match and then see something like the meeting change, for example.

Edit: I apologize. I marked this post as no spoilers and then realized that the meeting change might be considered a spoiler. I have no way of editing the title.
