Some thoughts on my second watch through

I just binged the series after only having seen it once before when it first came out. Here are my observations:

• Hank is really, really dumb. I guess that’s why he was so mad when he found out, because it made him realize how dumb he is.
• The actor who plays Marie improved dramatically (in terms of acting ability) over the course of the series.
• Walt really becomes a psychopath over the course of Season 5 I mean honestly. Like it’s a slow build the first 4 seasons and then all of a sudden he’s Pablo Escobar.
• Skyler... I mean from one season to the next I go from hating her guts, to having some empathy to rooting for her. I don’t know if this was by design or just inconsistency.
• The “Junior loving breakfast” meme seems overblown on another watch. Also the hate for the fly episode, which wasn’t really that bad or weird on rewatch.
• My picks for best supporting characters are Todd and Tuco. Least favorite are Lydia and Gale.
• The director(s) are obsessed with shots of thing from “beneath” through glass. Like “Ok in this scene Walt is getting some ice from the ice machine, better shoot it from the perspective of the ice”
