Rewatching this after a few years and I've noticed a pretty big plot hole

That trick where they can just cover themselves in walker guts and not be bothered? They could literally do that to solve or prevent like 90% of their problems. I wish that concept was never introduced tbh. Because it's disgusting to watch yet 100% effective and avoids half their issues.
