I just finished season 8 for the first time about a half hour ago and I don’t understand the hate it gets. I don’t know about any behinds the scenes stuff so let me know if it’s that, but if it is the ending itself then I don’t understand.
Personally I wouldn’t rank it very high among the other seasons but it wasn’t bad. I think the way the story ended may not have been what people wanted, but it makes sense. Thinking back I can spot the signs, and it’s foreshadowed. Daenerys did some horrible stuff. She crucified people, slavers or not they were still people, and we rationalise it because they were slavers. From the beginning all she cared about was the throne. Too me the way the show ends makes sense because of her actions. When she burned Kings Landing she knew what she was doing. She was getting rid of anyone who might support Cersei. I think her character was always like this but people didn’t want too see it. This has turned out to be way more of an opinion post than intended. Anyways, can someone please explain why the ending gets the hate it does?
Edit: all right what I can gather is that it’s not so much the outcome that bothers people, but that it was rushed
