Is Rick Grimes a good leader?

He knows how to handle individual missions and lead small groups of fighters, but he was not meant to be responsible for large numbers of people. The problem is that keeping an eye on the prize tends to prevent you from seeing the main deadly obstacles in your path. Considering the amount of loyalty he inspires among the survivors, Rick's impulsiveness is incredibly dangerous.
