Actually, not Bran. The Three-Eyed Raven. The three-eyed raven is an ancient being that lived among the human race for thousands of years, by jumping over and over into different hosts. There's a strong possibility thathe is the main culprit behind everything.
He manipulated Bran into becoming his new host! He manipulated Melisande into believing that The Lord of Light wants this, but really he wanted it. He is the Lord of Light! He showed Bran that The Children of The Forest created The Night King to kill men. But in real they created him to defeat the Three-Eyed Raven. The cave and the children who lived in it were just his illusions.
The Night King was a vicious being and his only objective was to kill the Three-Eyed Raven. But the TER (Three-Eyed Raven) defeated The Night King using all of his powers, making him depowered for thousands of years. And when the Night King rose again, he manipulated Bran into becoming his new host. (Some of you might say, The Night King kills anyone he sees or the white walkers kill any living creatures. Well that's because he is adding them to his army. He doesn't care what happens to human kind or any other species. He is like programmed for only one thing. The termination of TER.)
✓TER wanted everyone to fight The Night King because he's the only one who can kill him. That's why he used Jon and Daenerys! ✓TER planted an idea in Daenerys's mind and that pushed her into becoming the mad queen.
✓In the end he took the crown as he planned from the beginning.
[In my theory Bran died the moment he stepped into that cave. That's why he's so changed!]
