I just watch 『The Walking Dead』 s2 ep3
Carl and his father Rcik hurried back to the farm. Suddenly Carl found a fawn in the forest.
He was completely fascinated by the deer. RICK was also nearby. After making sure that there were no zombies around, he motioned to Carl to come close and touch it.
Little Carl was full of joy and gently walked towards the deer.
With a sudden bang, a bullet passed through Carl's body. Karl was accidentally shot and fell to the ground.
The doctor told them that Carl was in a bad postion and they had to make a choice:
If he does not undergo surgery, he is bleeding more and more in his body, which will endanger his life; during surgery, anesthetics will be used, which may cause the little boy to be unable to breathe spontaneously. Without the help of a ventilator, he may never wake up.
Carl is on the brink of death as parents, RICK and LORI, there is a dialogue like this:
-Lori: I suddenly had a thought, it would be a good thing if he can't wake up.
-Rick: How come there are such crazy ideas? We have exhausted so much effort to treat him, why should we give up?
(Rick gave the child many blood transfusions to save his life. He himself didn't even have the strength to get out of the farm)
-Lori: You look at the world, you look at the zombie around you, is it better for him to live than to die? Why should we let Carl live in such a world? Do you want him to watch the scene where zombies bite people into pieces every day? There is no end to this kind of life...If he is dead, it might be a good thing.
