Chuck's lie to Rebecca about the electric company mixing up his payment is very reminiscent of Walt's gas pump malfunction lie.

(From Season 3 Ep. 5 "Chicanery"): When Rebecca comes over for dinner with Jimmy after their divorce and Jimmy "asks" what's up with the candles, Chuck tells a fabricated, elaborate story of how he had the worst day because after he prepped the fish the power went out. He blames the electric company for mixing up his address with the "bozo" at a similar address who didn't pay their electricity. Blame game lie instead of telling the truth.

This immediately reminded me of Walt's "I should SUE someone *that's* what happened!" elaborate and colorful gas pump malfunction lie. Not sure if a stretch but Walt and Chuck sure do remind me of each other in ways.
