[SPOILERS] My Perfect Version of Season 8, Part 1

Even since the show ended, I've always thought "What would be the perfect Season 8 for me?". I had this conversation with a friend recently and we had a lot of fun sharing our thoughts and what we would change.

I'm mostly okay with the first few episodes of S8. I especially love the Brienne knighting moment.

So I just thought I'd share what I think would've been a better Season 8 and see what you think. Starting with the Night King at the Wierwood garden.

---

The Night King and White Walkers arrive in the Wierwood garden where Bran and Theon are. They're the first enemies here (my only retcon is the undead haven't reached this spot before) so all the guards are still alive. The guards, fearfully, attack the Night King but we instead get a badass scene where Night King unleash all hell onto them. Imagine Darth Vader in Rogue One but better. I think it's ridiculous that we never see the Night King obliterate hopeless souls like that.

Bran senses that Jon is just outside but being blocked by Ice Viserion. He warges into the dragon to restrain it, allowing Jon to pass through.

Jon, along with Jamie and Brienne from another entrance, now enter the garden and were immediately stopped by the White Walkers. Theon, the only one left between the Night King and Bran (still busy restraining Viserion so no "good man" here), lunges toward the Night King. Theon gets killed easily but Jon witnessed his heroism. Distracted, Jon gets struck by a White Walker but Arya shows up just in time to kill it.

Now or never, Jon sprints towards the Night King and engages in a duel we've been anticipating for years since Hardhomme. Ever so often, the Night King has a 2-3 second opening to pull off a fancy magic attack like shooting icy stalagmites from the ground or something. The Night King also tries to resurrect more dead bodies but Jon continues attacking to cancel it. Soon, Jon realises he'll never win this fight. All he can do is to keep the Night King occupied to not have a chance to use his powers.

Meanwhile, Arya aids Jamie and Brienne fight the White Walkers and eventually manage to take down all of them. Arya rushes to Bran and carries him out of the garden for safety.

We get a 3-on-1 fight with Jon, Jamie, and Brienne versus the Night King. It would've been the best fight scene in the series. Jon gets thrown far away, near the garden entrance. Then Jamie gets a fatal stab in the gut. We're down to only Brienne now.

Outside, Viserion is still struggling with Bran's warging. In agony, it accidentally knocks over a tower, which injures the escaping Arya and Bran himself. This causes Bran to lose control over the dragon. Viserion immediately spots an injured Jon at the garden entrance and charges up a fiery breath.

Cutting back to the garden, Brienne is putting up a superb fight but eventually, she gets knocked down, drops her sword, and the Night King delivers his last strike... only to be blocked by Jamie's gold hand. With the Night King's weapon now embedded into the gold, Jamie yanks it away, disarming the enemy. He swiftly picks up Briennes' Valyrian steel Oathkeeper with his left hand and thrusts it through the Night King's face.

The Night King bursts into ice. Viserion and the all the undead disintegrate into corpses. Arya returned to give Jon a big hug. Jamie spends his final moments in Brienne's arms and finally dies - forever to be remembered as the Night King Slayer.
