Does anyone else think that the people from Grady would have made the Alexandria Safe Zone better? After Dawn, O’Donnell, and the other ruthless cops were killed, the only people left were seemingly low ranking police officers who disliked the cruelty and slavery of the higher ups, but were too afraid to act against them. I feel like if they, along with the doctor and wards, had gone with Rick, Alexandria would have been better off. They would have had a true mini-police department to keep the peace under the leadership of Rick, and with the doctor, could have had even better healthcare, as Grady was stocked with medicine and working equipment. This faux police department could have helped in the fight against Negan, and also immensely helped Rick keep the peace in the interim period where Spencer was trying to sabotage the leadership and rile up the Alexandrians. If nothing else, having multiple police officers could have greatly helped in training the soldiers for the Coalition. Rick and Shane helped the Atlanta group become efficient survivors, and it was just both of them. Now imagine what a whopping 8 police officers could do. I think it’d be interesting to hear what y’all think.
