Just finished volume 8. Gotta say the show did everything better minus a few things. The only things I liked more in the comics was how many people actually died. Like shit I think 7 people in Rick's group died in 1 single battle.

But up to this point I prefer the show. The Governor was a superficial villain(coming from someone who loved the show version). Every relationship seems rushed and fake. There isn't a single character yet that I prefer to their show counterparts. But I can't really say shit as the first 5 seasons of TWD were actually amazing so we will see when I get to All Out War.
