Haven’t watched an episode since about season 7 or 8 but stumbled upon an episode tonight

Stopped watching when Negan killed Abraham and Glen, but seen tonight Negan just walking freely among without any repercussions, no one kills him? Sorry just seems strange after what happened and am wondering if someone could explain
