My mom had her first ever "What do I do now??" Television experience. I am so happy.

She is an old soul. She grew up on a farm in the Philippines and walked 5 miles for water. She works and works. She's worked all her life and so she never much had much interest in television dramas until lockdown. Before now, it's always been Masterchef or talent shows.

I mean she like's Justified, Vikings and The Americans which we binged earlier this year but She liked those shows. However, she LOVED 'LOST'. We binged like crazy.

She even said to me "Yknow, I never really became attached like this before. It's weird!". She originally thought it would be a simple survival show. She really fell in love with the characters and the lore. This has never happened to her before. Her favourites were Jin and Sun. Also, it was so wholesome when she would go "ohh look at the bamboos" or "the mangos! All the fruit". I guess the Island really reminded her of her home in the Philippines.

Never before, had a television show affected her like this before. We finished the show last night. It was a rewatch to me and I had such a blast explaining things to her. I even physically used our record player to explain the time jumps and The Island not knowing where to be, and she went "aahh! Very good".

Today, she came home from work and she said "(sigh)...I miss lost. I can't believe it's over" 🤣❤ It was such a joy to see honestly.

And yes, she loved the ending!! She thought it made a lot of sense and overall she was pretty satisfied 👍
