[Spoilers] Misunderstood parts of the series

What is something misunderstood by the fandom...

I'll go first... Theon never betrayed the Starks. They were literally his captors, yes they raised him but they would have just as easily gutted him if his father rebelled. That was the entire point of him being there... It was the dark reality that I think should have been focused on more...

He, like all people, are trained and raised to honor his family... but he loved the Starks. It wasn't that dissimilar to Stockholm syndrome to be honest... I think anyone in Theon's position would have been hard pressed to make a good choice.

Honestly, while Book Theon is a sociopath, tv Theon is a genuinely sympathetic character who deserved way better than he got...

What is the character that you think is misunderstood, or maybe a fact? Could be anything...
