[Spoilers] Judegment Calls and mirror situations

Did you notice that what Allisar Thorn did to Jon exactly what Jon did to Daenerys? Both acted in the interest of the Realm, or at least they thought they did. Arguably Jon showed better judgement, but if we consider the Army of the Dead had "unlimited respawn", the wildlings didn't make a difference.

In fact Jon was kinda lucky that Tormund didn't break his promise to cooperate, a couple of days after he raided a village, attacked Castle Black and after Mance Rayder got executed. If we take stock, then everything that Jon did was based on a judgement call, on that he knows "what is right and what is wrong". That's exactly what Daenerys got killed for by him, based on a judgement call.

I love these mirror situations in Game of Thrones, because many characters do exactly the same, but one is supposed to be evil while the other is supposed to be good. Maybe the best example is Arya. She is a serial killer, but like Dexter she only kills "bad" people, and that's why everyone cheers her. The decisions who belongs on her to-do-list are also judgement calls. She is judge and executioner.
