I'm Late, but "The Terror" is one of the best limited series of all time.

I know it's old news, but I was only just able to stream this, and I am blown away.

I love horor TV, but this is so much more. I don't think most people realize how utterly enthralling a show about a few dozen rough, grungy looking men with bad dental hygeine, trapped in a bleak, colorless landscape for years can be.

Three women in the cast, two you barely see, and the third incessantly covered neck to toe in bulky fur.

Almost no sex, even off screen.

Heed this, creators of entertainment-- what drives quality is not the quantity or quailty of T&A, erotic encounters, raunchiness, romance, or other of the stuff that's constantly hurled at us.

This is a show that illustrates the very essence of humanity, how as a race we're willing to struggle, how we stumble, how we destroy each other, and even how we love and protect one another. The worst and best that humans are capable of is right here.

And if you're still with me, the final reason I think this show is a masterpiece is that it taught me about a part of history and the world I barely knew about. It literally made me look at the planet in a different way (an arctic map of the world is almost like a paradigm shift if you've never seen it before).

I'm in the midst of learning the true facts about these people and their expedition. Nothing delights me more in life than finding a trove of knowledge that I never touched before. I have "The Terror" to thank for thatm nd that's why I am here-- if you haven't watched it. Watch it.
